Meh, this wedding stuff.
Still got loads to organise and I'm fed up with it now and don't care. I don't care about the flowers, I'm fed up with the music, I'm fed up arguing with h2b about who we invite/dont invite, I'm especially fed up with cupcakes. We got a really good quote from someone and booked her. Then after that she apologised, said she'd forgotten that she'd be on maternity leave and couldn't do it. Then we got in contact with the next priced quote company and that seemed promising, then she stopped returning emails. I'm considering just m&s cakes instead.
Plus my dress is due in this month but I haven't heard from the shop yet and I'm scared I wont like it because they've got a photo of a woman wearing it on the website and it looks rubbish, waiting for my junior bridesmaid's dresses to come in so I can measure the sashes to get ribbons.
I'm tired of waiting!!!:(:(

4 Months tomorrow for me, eep!
Went shopping with my dress maker a couple of weeks ago which was ace, really have a better idea of what it'll be like & she got me some bargain material. I reckon it wont be much over £200 for the whole thingShe'll be making up a moke up in a few weeks, yay!
We've finally ordered our invites too after much procrastination about making them.
My hens have started planning my top secret Hen do too, all I know is the date.
Still plenty to do, but we've calmed ourselves down from stressing too much and are trying to be methodical about each task.
Still got BM dresses, mens suits, wedding rings, cake, favours to do, among other things.0 -
Just under 7 months now. I'm rubbish at waiting for things, and we seem to have reached the stage in planning where all the big plans have been made and it's just the little niggly things left. It feels like we should be doing more at this stage.
The cupcake thing has really upset me too. Thought that was one more thing off the list and now we're back to square one.

I felt the same, had the "7 month itch" where I didn't really have anything to.
Skip forward 2 months & now I' back in it with things moving quickly.
PS - go for the M&S cake - that's what I think we'll do. Great reviews & great price.0 -
aw codemonkey well at least youve got the time to find another cupcake seller but im afraid it is a waiting game now isnt it
why dont you just try and forget about wedding stuff in your free time until you reall need to sort the stuf out
ive just made a list of what i need to do and the earliest/latest it needs doing leaving the stuff that hasnt got a timescale so i can spread it out
im hoping im going to enjoy looking for all the little thingsI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -

It's kind of a mash up of a jenny packham / monsoon dress with some original ideas from my dressmaker & I.
The basic shape is like this but with lots more detailing (beaded lace bustier, ruched chiffon gathered at the waist with a brooch so it's less "square", then floating down too the floor etc)
