Just thought I'd bump this back to the front page as it's been a bit quite lately.
How's everyone getting on? I think I've reached saturation point with our wedding. I'm also a bit worried that in the months leading up to the big day, I won't be as excited because I won't have anything left to do! Mind you, OH's best man has asked if I'll organise his wedding when he asks his girlfriend to marry him!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
I've had a quiet few weeks but am now getting excited again as have 9 weeks to go so have reached the point where we're having wedding meetings with people to finalise things!
Have got my make up trial this Saturday and then a dress fitting on Tuesday 16th, although I don't need any actual alterations doing but the seamstress is going to put a ribbon in my dress so I can tie the train up for the evening. We're also going to an open evening at our venue on Tuesday, so will see our photographer and caterers there.
Then I've got my hair trial on the 4th December and seeing our florist in the morning on the same day and at some point around the beginning of December will have a meeting at the Registry Office to do whatever they need us to do, confirm music/readings etc I assume.
So after a quiet few weeks, all of a sudden we're getting close and having a flurry of meetings with everyone so am getting excited again!!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

I think it's good to get things done early. I was pretty much finished organising everything around the end of august so got to have sep/oct not doing very much wedding wise. I have 3 weeks to go now and I only have a few jobs left to do and they are not stressful ones. The week of the wedding can now be filled with beauty appointments and pampering along with dropping everything off at the venue which will all have been boxed up.0 -

All we have left to do is suits, the post box (which MIL2B is doing), the favours (which MIL2B is doing) and giving notice which we can't do until we've had another meeting with the priest.
I kinda know how I want the seating plan, but we can't make it until we have RSVPs. I know what flowers I want, but don't meet with the florist again until mext March...Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hi Everyone,
Have been reading this thread and wondered if I can say Hi!
We are getting married next April in Florida. :j We have been together for nearly 10yrs in April !!!! Never thought We would do it. I have been wanting to do it for years. OH has been married before so it doesn't mean the same to him. I am nearly bursting with excitement and the problem is that only a few people know. We are not inviting lots of people and no family
We have booked flights and a Villa for 18 days. Carn't book anything else as don't have the money yet! I am trying to keep things as cheap as possible so I am looking on Ebay for a dress as recommended by people on here. The flights were cheap as we had saved Virgin miles from years ago when we had more money and went on holiday all the time! LOL ! Need to book the wedding as soon as we can afford it.
Think I will have ago at making my flowers when we are in Florida. Will make a cake as well when we get there. OH wants a fruit cake , so will probably go to Walmart and look for some decorations!
Well that's our plans and its making me all excited writing this , its nice to be able to share our plans.0 -

Hey all,
Please can I join in your mammoth wedding chat? I've been around the boards a fair bit but realised I haven't actually introduced myself properly. I've been with my OH for three and a half years and we got engaged at the start of October. We're hoping to marry sometime easter weekend next year (but realise that we need to be flexible as its fairly late in the day so could be any time between feb and may!)
Not done much so far but have managed to narrow our venue down to a choice of two and hoping to decide between those this weekend. I've found a dressmaker so don't have to worry about dress shopping and I've chosen my two bridesmaids.
Its all very VERY exciting and I'm convinced I'm going to need loads of help from these boards to try and put together a wedding in 4/5 months! Looking forward to many a happy nights posting and exchanging wedding excitement!0 -

congrats!
Also congrats to insomniac03-although we've already met
And congrats to Afitos-what date are you going for? The 30th April seems to be very popular round here..and is the best date to get married, IMO!! :rotfl:
