I've got to do a seating plan, when I have all my rsvps, I need to finish the evening invites and send them, decide what table decs I'm having, if any, sort the cake, groom needs a ring and sort flowers and thank yous. And that's it!
if its past the rsvp deadline do it with all the yes's
have you got all the evening invite material?
could you do the free postcards from vistaprint and just pay postage?
if its going to be a struggle getting table decs, can you do with just some 'just marrried' table confetti?
cake from tesco or other supermarket?
you can get really nice cheap rings in argos, you could just get a plain band now and if you wanted something else save up after the wedding
what about the supermarket for your flowers again? you could scale down a lovely bouquet or split up some carnations for your wedding party
who are the thank yous for? if its wedding party just bunches of flowers will do, thats the tradition anyway
if it was thank you cards for guests you dont need to worry about them yet and some people dont even do them
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

hi faerie welcome to mse :)
have you had a look at the wedding websites and mags for inspiration?
offbeat bride and rock and roll bride could be good places for you to start if you dont want traditional
the possibilities are endless so its just finding one that suits you
i was lucky in definitly wanting the posh hotel, 3 course breakfast then party in the evening so it was quite a common thing to look for
i hope you find what you want and when you do and tell others your plans theyl be more interested i think
please come back and let us know what you decide or if you want any more advice xx

I can't wait for that call from my dress shop, can't wait can't wait can't wait!!! :D It's probably going to be in about 6 weeks I think, can't remember when I ordered it though!

And I am sure you will rediscover your love for your dress when you have it on again and realise why you picked it in the first place!

Lol bless you! I'm going to be exactly the same!

Oh by the way, I went to the national wedding show at the NEC the other week and the guys from Spinoff Events were there so I actually met them, and they're sooo nice :) Not sure who you've been talking to to organise what you're having but I've been emailing Oliver, and I met him and he's so nice and we were talking for ages about all the different stuff they can do, so it was really nice and reassuring to actually meet them in person :) (not that I particularly needed reassuring about anything but it's always nice to meet people when you've only had an email/telephone correspondence with them so far iykwim :) )

  • Hi Ladies

Just thought I would pop in and say hello

We got engaged at the New Year and we hadn't really decided on a date, actually still not got a date, but this week managed to get my F to agree to 2012 :D

We will have to be very MSE as its a 2nd time around for both of us.

I think our next move will be to sort a date and a venue. Oh and set a budget, I'm thinking about £2000 to £2500 so I think sealed pots all round! :rotfl:

Officially got my wedding head on!!! YAY! :j
