i had a hairy moment yesterday! i finally rang the registrar to book them only to be told
    'i can offer you 12pm, 2pm or 4pm'
*GASPS* 'why cant i have 1pm?'
bearing in mind id booked the venue for 1pm i like that time not too early, not too late
'because theyr already booked at 1pm and we need 2 hours between weddings'
then me frantically thinking do i go earlier and panic at not having enough time or go later and miss the day out all the time the registrars on the phone waiting!
i chose 2pm in the end then held my breath while the venue got back to me so i could change their time!
its all good now...til the next time x
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

I've got to do a seating plan, when I have all my rsvps, I need to finish the evening invites and send them, decide what table decs I'm having, if any, sort the cake, groom needs a ring and sort flowers and thank yous. And that's it!

Hi everyone! I'm hoping I can pick your brains :)

We've been together 3 years and got engaged in Feb. I've got a large extended family whereas he's got a closer smaller extended family so it's proving difficult at the minute. Most his family live nearby, all of mine live about 40 miles away. My OH is very laid back and he'd get married in a bog if he thought it'd make me happy... although you'd think this would make it easier, I'm finding it hard to make decisions on my own! I asked my mum for advice and she said "Whatever you do, make sure it makes you both happy, noone else matters." His mum said something similar. But I don't know what that is! Argh! Infact both suggested eloping, which made me feel like noone is interested or would make an effort to show up, I don't think that is what they intended but I still have that dread that we'd have an empty dance floor. :(

    Few options so far are:
    1. My immediate family, his (small) whole family, get married in countryside hotel, have meal then invite rest of my family and our friends to a party/buffet in the evening. - So far, it's VERY expensive.
    2. Registry office with family and meal.
    3. Registry office late in day and straight to party for buffet.

I seem to be the only one who wants a 'nice' day, lots of people have said it's too much money to spend on just one day, but I only intend to do this once! Neither of us want a traditional day, we just want a small ceremony, nice food and drink and for everyone to have a good time. We ideally want it half way between our families for travelling, so we're looking at the peak district area. Don't mind when it is and have upto £5K to spend. Why is this so hard?!

£5k is lots! Why don't you get married 40 miles away and invite his family down?
    I love surprises!
