  • yeah it does, thats why ive only budgeted for the wedding from my wages, and then OH should only need to add a 'little'(couple of hundred) amount from his, that way when 'something crops up' it comes out of his wages like normal!

ah that'd really wind me up about your oh's mate, what about commenting on his facebook saying 'are you still coming as it looks like your plans have changed? dont worry if you cant make it' or get your oh to do it

He started a group on facebook a fortnight ago for a bike show on the day of the wedding! So I messaged him that day and asked what was going on and he assured me he was coming and that he'd only started the group to let his mates know (even tho on the group it said he was attening the show:cool:)

OH text last night (after receiving a text about his having an op on his arm) and said look we understand if you can't make it, we just really need to know, and he told OH he would deffo be there for ceremony and meal.

Thing is, if he's not getting a lift from OHs mate on the Friday, how the chuff is he getting here, cos he hasn't got a car and he's had a bike accident so is bruised to hell and his bike is dead!

The only thing is if he got a lift off someone at his end, but who in their right mind would give him a lift up here for 11am and sit around twiddling their thumbs till 4pm when the meal is over?? Doesn't make sense does it?

And now he's out on the lash Friday night, as comnfirmed on facebook twice, plus he's meant to be having an op on his arm tomorrow, but 'hopefully monday' so he makes the wedding (his words)???????

It's just the day that I'm bothered about because we've had to pay per head. Friends daughter is popping along for the evening anyway.

What I think we'll have to do is have him on the end of a table (we're having a horse shoe shape), so if he comes he won't have anyone opposite him (tough!), and if he doesn't come, it won't look that bad because there won't be a gap in the middle of the table. I wouldn't mind, but he was meant to be bringing his GF with him, then they split up, but he didn't bother telling us, till I asked OH weeks ago to chase up the RSVPs! That's why we have an odd number.

OH is being ever so nice about it to him, but I said to OH last night that if it was one of my mates mucking us about, I wouldn't hesitate to ask what the hell is going on because it's not fair to muck is about like this last minute!

Plus I've got to have the very last table plan at the venue for Friday afternoon, so now I've got to pish about with the seating plan again!:mad::mad:

  • Shell, if I were you I'd don your bridezilla head and just phone the nice fellow to heck with FB or texting. Tell him you need to know NOW yes or no and how you hope the accident has knocked some good manners into his head :D

I haven't got his number, that's why I've been contacting him on facebook ~ don't know him that well to ring as it's OH's mate not mine.

OH said he will ring him later and say if there is the slightest chance that he can't come, we'll take it as a No, because we can't be faffing about any longer and have people on standby to take his place.

ETA : He's just text OH to say he won't be coming! Apparantly the hospital want him in this week to sort his arm (didn't say what bloody day though, so nothing is confirmed!) so he won't be able to come.

He can't come but he can go out on the lash Friday night. Yes, great, get your priorities right. OH is fuming, but now least I can sort out the table plan!

Oh and OH owes me £50 cos I said weeks ago this mate wouldn't come lol
