Well i've had my say and expressed my opinion, maybe from a supermarkets perspective.
I may apoligise for maybe being a slight bit rude in my first post, calling people pathetic, but it did make my blood boil that people were exploiting the loophole ( heading straight down to there local Tesco just to earn a quick £30 ).
I enjoy lurking and reading posts on this forum so I will stay on this forum despite a poster above suggesting this place may not be for me
I kind of new where you were coming from, but I think you shot yourself in the foot when you called people 'pathetic' and referred to it as a scam - but hey, you said sorry. I think there is two sides of the coin as I have expressed in my previous posts :-)0 -

Your uncle sounds like a wise man, sometimes they need someone to tell them whats what!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
As it says above I did not sell the clubcard vouchers thank you very much.
For the record also, staff do not get extra clubcard points per pound.
So nobody has anything to say about the scamming of the supermarket which my opinion is based on? :T
Of course you DIDNT sell them but you tried, but were caught out by getting family members to bid up the price....PATHETIC!!!!!!0 -

You'd love the manager at my local then - if you ever find yourself in a sleepy town in Suffolk, then perhaps you could pop in and do us locals a favour0 -

I planned on selling them then didn't want to.
This post has nothing to do with the subject so there's no need to bring it up.0 -

I love the managers in my locals too, they have given me thousands of pounds worth of stuff over the years! :rotfl:Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

I was only embarrassed at having to admit that I had just entered my pin to pay without even checking how much I was paying. Trust me, an overcharge is a bonus, not an embarrassment! If a post is helpful to you, please take a second to click "thanks", it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside!0 -
I did chortle when i read that. Tesco boasts a £1 billion profit PER WEEK and an annual profit of over £3 billion for 2009 despite the global downturn... I will go out on a limb here and say that the chance of workers losing their jobs due to a loss of profit (caused by a few thrifty MSE'ers) is slim to none. I find it laughable that you are that naive!
Also, Tesco make an unbelievable amount of profit on items that they overcharge customers on, which most customers are completely oblivious to. The proof in the pudding there is that their own refund policy that used to be..
"In the unlikely event you are charged a higher price than on the shelf or the product we will refund your money and you can keep the product."
.. which had to be changed as they found out they overcharged a LOT of the time and their own policy was proving to be not so beneficial to them and so they changed to Double the Difference. Protecting their own backside there, rather than just ensuring they dont overcharge customers, who would then not be able to use the policy!
"Scamming".. definetly not. Exploiting a loophole, maybe!
Your maths need a little work LOL! £1Billion a week and £3 Billion a year LOL! They do not make £1Billion profit a week. There would be cartwheels at Tesco HR if they did that.0
