another tesco glitch!!!

please be gentle with me!!!
i have just been to tesco,infirmary road sheffield and was looking at the suncare section
i picked up the loreal sublime self tan 2 pack wipes as it said 62p and i thought was very cheap!
then saw the new nivea invisible sprays and it said 3.25...for some stupid reason i only got the one in a factor 30...anyway...got to the self scan and the wipes scanned at 3 pounds and the nivea spray at 14 pounds!!!!
as i was at the self scan the lady quickly came and corrected the amounts and ushered the manager over....all the shelf stock had been mispriced!
i asked if i could get another spray if i went round again and the manager said no but he would allow me one more at the cheap price so he went and got me one and then got someone to change all the tickets

i am not sure if its just that tesco or if others have mis priced too

can anyone post on here and which stores please

ps....tesco on ecclesall road sheffield does not have any of the stock

i know!!!!
the lady at the self scan was even debating letting me pay full price and then me going to customer services but the grumpy manager came over and told her to amend it there and then!so the sa lady said said could i get some more and he looked at me and said i could only get one more as that he would get the tickets taken off :cool:


the double the difference would have been amazing!
he even said that i should have been quicker and i should have cleared the shelves!

Can anyone explain the double the different policy to me? searched on the internet but can't find the actual wording.

Basically 4 x £14 item purchase
Price on shelf said £3.25
Differece (per item) is £10.75
Double the difference (per item) is £21.50

He gave me the items (as I did actually want to buy them) for £3.25 each
Total new price £13.00

so... I paid £56.00 originall and He refunded me £86.00 plus I have the 4 bottles.

oh and they changed the prices on the shelf whilst I was waiting (thus the long wait)

Its exactly right! They give you back double the amount you have been overcharged which was £86 (each item was overcharged by £10.75, times that by 4 equals £43 and then they doubled it). HTHs

she was hovering behind me and i must have gasped when the spray showed at 14 pounds!
