Just back from the shops and I only bought essentials so spent very little .I had an email from DGS Danny it took him over three hours to drive to Pinewood today from North Kent:eek: ,he's not a happy bunny as he was an hour late:( .God knows what time he's get home tonight.Maybe he might try the train tomorrow.
Well I'm off to sort out an early dinner for tonight as I have to be at college just after 6.It's turned very dark and cold here and looks like we may have some rain ,just for a change:( Roll on summer0 -
Donny-gal....so sorry to hear about your dad, but he is now at peace.
Cold here to-day but really sunny....not a cloud in the sky, leaving clothes on line all night as frost makes a huge difference.
Went to my knitting group this am....we are having an exhibition over the next 2 weeks in the local library, almost all the others are older than me but they all seem to go to painting, cross-stitch and various other handcraft groups....so good that there is something for people to do in the village, as there is not a great bus service for those who don't drive. OH and I went for Chinese lunch while we waited for DGS 2 to finish school, then took him for his regulation Monday pizza and left him back to school for his violin lesson, DD4 will collect him.
Trying to leave the heat off most of the day now that the weather has brightened, will not manage to get to 'heat off' stage of year without buying more oil I think, am afraid to check how much it is per litre at present.
Brain is in mush so can't remember who has said what to-day, so will just say hugs to all in need or want of one or several.

Now you've piqued my interest

LOL me too!!!
I think we should have a dirty joke tree, like the phone tree at the PTA, we can PM them to each other!:rotfl:It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Evening all
Elona - good on you helping out DD's friend. I work with teens, many of whom have been kicked out by family and have nowhere to turn so at least this girl knew she could come to you. Good on your DD too for having sense to look after her.
I had a nice day in Cardiff shopping, didn't buy much though. I got a nice short sleeve knitwear jumper in the sale for £6 and that was it, apart from train fare and lunch. We had lunch at GBK and used the voucher so it was good bargain.
I've been naughty for tea and ordered in Domino's pizza!
I could not be bothered to cook and used the 33% off code so it was money saving! :rotfl:
I need to load DW and WM ready to go on overnight, and make my lunch for tomorrow.
Have a good evening all

Blimey just seen the video a young girl put together to after her mum died of cancer on the news. Put everything into perspective really.
Hello - late one for me.
Bit of a fraud at the moment posting here as there's not alot OS happening. OK I made soup overnight in the slow cooker but seriously...thats it!
Neighbours have been providing the entertainment again putting each others windows in....really wish they'd do it at a more reasonable hour tho!
Already have my MSing jobs stacked up for the weekend - need to make a picnic lunch for saturday I think and charge up the Nintendo DS's for the car journey as I've just accepted a 200 mile round trip..... still thinking of the money!
Looking at the finances I'm hoping if we can get a good day or two a week with some organisation and planning it takes the pressure of DH needing to get a job straight away and although the MSing can be tiring as I do the driving and DH is chief navigator and at least we're spending time together which we wouldn't be if he was out working elsewhere.
Ended up rambling a bit there. Went to wash the crock pot of my big slow cooker last night and there was a massive crack in it - so if that was my 'third thing' then I can live with it.
Enjoy the rest of your day whatever you're doing xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

DD is a good kid and I'm very proud of her. Her friend seems to have got sorted out (fingers crossed) and has picked up her stuff to take back home. I made extra for tea in case it was needed but her friend went straight to relatives from school.DD says I am like Mrs Weasley in "Harry Potter" - think it's a compliment?
No word from viewers yet but I can't be bothered to worry about it - will just concentrate on getting back to normal - finishing refurbishing a relative's bungalow - getting ready for DD(21) coming back home for a month - and scouring rightmove for a house we like in case a buyer comes along soon.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
