Good Morning All
So sorry to hear your sad news Donny Gal 'Hugs'
Well no change with DD. She has been with us since Wednesday. Her partner picked DGS up yesterday and no sign of a reconciliation. I can tell she has moved from feeling sad to being angry and she is a strong girl, if he doesn't do something she will move on. So sad but I'm trying not to be judgemental and just suport her. They have been together two years. At least the little one is too young to know whats going on.
Had a lovely day yesterday. Set off to go to the garden centre and ended up in Cheshire at a gorgeous little country pub with fabulous views over the countryside. The weather was glorious and quite a few brave souls sat outside to eat. Too cold for me yet but I am a big softy:D It was so nice to get away from all the kids and stress for a few hours. It was soo romantic, we felt like newlyweds not a couple coming up for their 25th Wedding Anniversary:p
When we got back I made cookies and ginger cake so today going to make meat and potato pies.
Its another lovely spring day. Think I will try and get in at the hairdressers today. Trying to grow mine at the minute but it needs to be cut into some sort of shape to grow.
Also plan to write a thousand words today so better get on.
Have a lovely day everyone J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

MOrning folks, lovely spring day here today apart from the temperature, it was terribly cold here overnight. I'm just working up to getting some cooking done. got a load of meat at Costco yesterday(nothing flash) which needs cooking and freezing. Some just portioning and wrapping. Will keep us going for some months I think. At least with careful planning. a couple of days not in work, so must try and catch up with the housework.
Got a meeting over in Harrogate tomorrow, so hoping the weather is equallybright. If it is I'll go 'the country way' as it's a nicer drive and doesn't take much longer.
Sewing club tonight which I shall enjoy, I wasn't well last time. COncert at ds's school on Wed and he's got a solo perf, so turning out to be a busy week.
have a good day everyone."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Donny gal- Sorry for your loss (((hugs)))
Sunnygirl - job sounds hopeful, fingers crossed.
I have just got rid of another full bag for the charity shop.We put it out this morning, then I remembered some more stuff in the top of my wardrobe,so rushed to fill another bag,but I was too late, they' already collected. Its now in the shed waiting for another time.
DH and I had a lovely walk yesterday aft when he finally got back from looking at a job, followed by a pub meal at our local ( well its no longer actually that local since we moved here, but its the only one we go to) DSons also go in there as most of their mates live nearby. We were talking to the chef, who was saying what cracking lads they both were, and a credit to us etc.,and offered to plate up 2 roast beef dinners on the house for them, so I wouldnt need to cook when I got back, which I thought was so lovely of him..I said no,because DS1 had said he was going to cook sausages for them both. When we got back they'd had bacon, said sausages took too long to cook and they were starving! So guess what we're having tonight
Kitchen needs a good blitz.I would have gone in the garden, but the ground is too hard.I have a top to finish off,so may do that later.
Hope you all have a nice day.Hugs to anybody who needs one.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

We went to look at houses at the weekend. 12 houses in a day and a half:eek: We found one we really like so putting an offer in today. We have accepted the offer on our house so hoping it will all go well.Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
Good Morning all, very windy but bright and sunny here in north Kent. Not a lot on today so I'm just 'pottering'.Uni tonight so I will be having an early dinner.I think I may have a rummage in the freezer and see what I can find.I had 6 NSDs last week so I'm really pleased with myself. No need for shopping much this week probably only bits and pieces so I have a small list of only 'needed' stuff so I'll only take a tenner with me when I pop to the shops later this afternoon.
Only just over 5 weeks till I go on holiday to the Cotswolds,I hope the weather will warm up a bit by then,I have just spoken to my friend and she says she is going to hunt out a book she's got with Oxfordshire walks in.We both like walking although we don't go too far and usually take some lunch with us.We are both interested in History and old churches so there will be lots to see.We intend going to Blenheim as the Churchill family were very distant relatives of my late husband, (we were the poor side of the family):) plus of course we will go into Oxford for the day at some point. I lived there back in the early 1960s for a couple of years, and actually got married in Oxford I expect its changed quite a lot over the years.Still it will be nice to see it again.
Well time to get a wriggle on and I feel the need for some hot coffee, hope everyone has a good Monday and <<hugs>> to those who are sad, down or poorly today.
Cheers JackieO xx
P.S. Donnygal sorry for your loss, may your Dad rest in peace now0 -

I think it's mushroom risotto for dins tonight; I shall check on the spreadsheet as soon as I've posted. Also need to make some bread rolls and cheese straws because my resident gannet has eaten all there were.:D
Had the reminder for Mr LW's tax disc today, so I've been online and dealt with that.
Washing is outside - a rotary line full of Mr LW's clothes. He kindly pegged them out before he went to w*rk this morning, as I can't raise my arms high enough til I've worked on my shoulder joints a bit in the mornings.:A

Should be doing lots of things, but stressful morning, so am doing very little! OS recovery is currently involving listening to assorted radio shows and plays I've missed, playing on here and drinking tea! Cheap and even better it's working!
Had a fabulous weekend away with old school friends, and no doubt the tiredness from that isn't helping! For those with fb, they can witness the antics! And to anyone who walked along Brighton seafront and heard the karaoke, I apologise!
