    Morning all :hello:,

And what a crisp and sunny morning it is!! Beautiful sunshine here, but more than a little chilly too.

donny-gal - So sorry to hear of your loss xx

Had a busy weekend. Very odd but since we got back from holiday, I've had a never ending pile of washing and ironing. Have a small amount of ironing tonight when I get in and then i need to wash the bedclothes - never ending it seems.

My niece came over at the weekend so I was able to have a quiet word with her about her so called friend who started all the bullying. I think I managed to get her to understand that this kid is a nasty piece of work, but she's understandably worried about trying to not be friends with her as she thinks it'll start everything off again. Other than that she seems to be almost back to her normal teenage self - you know, monosyllablic, bored and makes you feel about 3 inches tall with one look :D Gosh I miss being a teen - license to be stroppy :rotfl:

Have got a plain salad for my lunch today. My IBS has reared it's ugly head with a bit of a vengance - kind of to be expected I suppose really - so I'm trying to eat bland(ish) stuff with plenty of veg. Tea tonight will obviously be bubble and squeak (it's Monday - it's THE LAW!) although not sure how many roast potatoes we have left over from yesterday as my appetite seems to return a little more everyday  I'll be like a bus a this rate!

Have a lovely day in the crisp sunshine, hugs to those in need/want xx

    Hi everyone,

I feel pants today with a bad cold so I'm not going in to work. I'd probably go but I don't want this cold to linger as I'm supposed to be having my op on Thursday.

Jackie, it probably is hormonal with your dog, ours goes a bit sad as well. In fact I think dogs are more complex than we think. When DD was born we had two springer spaniels and within 2 days of bringing her home they both went into season even though they weren't due. They absolutely adored her - I had a playpen mat to lie her on when she was tiny and they weren't allowed on it, they used to lie with their noses touching the edge watching her.

Not a lot of Osiness will be going on today, but I want to clean the cooker hob.

Sorry about your dad donny-gal, even though it's a release for him it must be sad for you.
    Have a good day everyone.

I'm sorry for your loss Donny

Just nipped on while it's quiet to give you an update on our wedding plans, my bridesmaid & I spent Saturday doing "weddingy stuff" as OH calls it :D.....

Ceremony & reception venues are booked, cake is ordered, band are booked, invites bought, written & sent (yes, I know it's early but there is a big annual event that night in our town ;)), bridesmaid's dress bought & tiara ordered, my dress, tiara & shoes bought, hairdresser booked, rings found (just to be ordered) and flowers planned (just to pay deposit) :j

I got a fab bargain with my shoes - they're pale gold leather sandals from Dune, and were 75% off from their outlet on Ebay :T which sort of made up for my tiara being twice what I had planned to pay (but it too was a bargain at 37.5% off too :p)

    Good morning everyone.

Donny Gal Sorry to read about your Dad. It is a release, as I know from when my MIL died in January, but it is still a shock. Thinking about you xx

I have been up since 6am and have got all the dusting, kitchen swished and bathroom swished too so am very pleased :T Chilli in the slow cooker for tea I'll do the rice when I get home later on.

Some good news. I have been given my work placement at the company that is providing the training :j and there is hopefully a part time job available for when I finish the placement. I'd be doing the admin & phone work, booking in clients, liaising with Job Centre Plus advisors and helping people get together things like CV's and job application letters. Keep everything crossed for me please :)

DD & DS3 are both off college/school today. DS3 has picked at a small scab on his leg until it has infected his lower leg entirely :eek: He's on very strong antibiotics and anti inflammatories and can't walk far as it makes the swelling worse. We're hoping he has learned his lesson not to pick scabs  DD is full of a cold which she probably picked up from the children at her nursery school placement last week. I am leaving DH to be the chief carer today!

Have a good day everyone and massive hugs if you need one xx

Diva Good to see you back :A xxx

Morning all................(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Donny Girl; so sorry to hear about your dad, as you say at last he is a peace, try and remember him as he was, not how he became.

I am waiting for a call from Sky, they tried to phone on Friday but I had left the phone in the kitchen when we had lunch. They have just 4 more days to sort it before I cancel the phone and broadband and go to someone else.

Sheets are in the washer, bedroom day today, also need to swipe the bathroom. OH washed his hands in there yesterday and splashed liberally, so mucky splashes everywhere.....

Its a dull morning again, we are told the sun will come down, but its a bit cool to say the least.

Chicken with salad for supper tonight, I made a strawberry jelly with frozen strawberries in, so more of that tonight. Enough left for tomorrow as well hopefully.

Offsy for my second mug of coffee......see y'all later.............have a good day..

Morning All. Freezing here! Want to get the washing pegged out, but think my fingers will be frozen before the pegs are all in place! Kitchen sparkly and I've done the hob - always hate doing that after the w/e, but all done now.
DG - sorry to hear about your Dad, although he hasn't been as you knew him for a while - still a shock. I guess dementia is something we all worry about getting.
Need to do some office-type things today, and really must drag myself off to Curves - have really got out of the habit of going the last month or so. Also need to renew my railcard as we plan on a trip up to London in a couple of weeks. Perhaps I should make a list, or else I'll not remember half of what needs doing.
Take care everyone - hope you have a good start to the week.

    Think twice before spending anything!
