"apparently" there has to be less than 3k left over after bills etc etc, (utilities and loans dont count) and even tho my childcare is 16k a year this doesnt count, because if im not in uni apparently i dont need it!

    Hi,

Could you do a calculation for me ?

Income including child benefit and child tax credits is £14649 Per Annum.

Two children, one going into childcare at £152 per week.

Mortgage is £419 PCM, Insurance is £26 PCM and Council Tax is £124 PCM.

We have been told that we are elligible for full PLA but only £360 per annum child care grant.

    Doesn't seem right.
    Mortgage:
    July 2009 = £73000
    Overpayments:
    May 2010 - £251.00
    Total = £251

Need the CB and CTC broken down individually for the calculation.
  • Hi Taiko

Wondered if you could give me an estimate
Will be doing a degree in nursing
2 children childcare cost of 260pw
partner income is £35,00pa before tax
    outgoings:- £850pcm rent
    £30insurance
    £135 council tax

    Thanks

Sure, your entitlement to childcare grant is £0.
  • Hi Taiko

stumbled on this thread, and if you don't mind, would like to run through my sitution

    - going through clearing looking for a social work place in west midlands
    - 3 kids between 4 & 9
    - Me & DH both self employed - combined projected income this year is £17k (ish)
    - WTC is £250 a week (just awarded)

Any ideas what I could/should be entitled to, if anything? Wd give up my PT job to go to uni. NHS Bursary of £5.5k but as I already have a degree, will have to use that for fees as not eligible for a Student Loan.

    Many thanks

Need to double check. For some reason, something is bugging me about social work entitlement for a 2nd degree.
