Thats what i don't understand. My Palm Pre can do everything as well as the iPhone, the multitasking blows the iphone away and the Android phones are just as good and they save you money.

Granted the Android isn't as polished as the iPhone OS but it is still a stonking OS for a phone.

I have found that the day to day apps in the android marketplace are generally free with only the high end ones (sat nav etc..) costing any amount of money.

Just Apple have the marketing people that Android dont, hence everything is iPhone etc..

All very good suggestions, apart from buying 92 iphones...no comment!!

I'm just going to buy one & hopefully edit my exisiting contract as I currently pay £2.30 a month for BB services which includes my internet - not sure what the deal will be if I switch to an iphone?? Am going instore later to ask as don't want it being on record over the phone incase they use it against me??? I trust no-one!
There is more money in the bank than I realised so gonna go to CEX, part ex the BB and stump up the rest.
All for an iPhone eh - youth of today....

Why is it you want an iPhone? Your BB is better, my Palm Pre is better, Android phones are better and they cost less! If it is just for apps............!

I would look to see what you can do with your current contract, as they will still want you to pay it out or keep paying it. If you don't they may cancel your iPhone contract too which they are well in their rights to do so. You may then get a default on your credit file.

Android is a epically good mobile OS (I am biased though) and it's still relatively early days for it.

So they reckon but it will have to do some pretty good things and from what is being is said they will have a front facing camera and a possible 5mp camera........a first for a phone?

Get ready to see lots more threads if/when it does come out from people trying to find ways of getting out of the current iPhone contracts.

exactly! i mean they are saying june - so why doesnt the op just wait till it makes an appearance? that way they have a brand new iphone?! although op can pick one up pretty cheap on ebay when the new one comes out!

I think you mean a first for an Iphone. There are already phones out there with 5mp+ cameras. I think one of the Samsungs (maybe the Pixon?) has an 8mp camera.
