I find it difficult to eat first thing in the morning. I'm rarely hungry and often have to go on long car journeys and will be once I get into the car.
I've been using Slim-Fast and while it doesn't stave off hunger for long but it's easy to take, healthy and it at least stops my stomach rumbling for a few hours while in the car.

I'm wondering if I can get it cheaper or perhaps someone recommend a cheap alternative whether it be a similarly sized other cheaper brand or buying in bulk.

    Anyone?

    Make your own.

I work out 3 times a week and often dont have time at work to eat complete meals.

I just blend up some food in the morning and bring it to work with me in a shaker.

    Things i make are

    100g oats
    Quark
    Water
    Half Banana

All blended together. You may not like the above but you could try and blend your own food and see what its like

As i say...i work out and im trying to put on muscle which is why i eat a lot.

Oats will fill you up and give you loads of energy
  • If you mean the slim fast milk shake type, i was in Aldi earlier & they had the same thing for £2.99, about £2-£3 cheaper than slimfast, i read the back & its exactly the same, add milk etc..they had choc, banana & vanilla flavours.

  • Apparently Asda do their own version - think for around 79p, but not sure of flavours.i know its not much help now, but a lot of places did 3 4 2 on the slimfast, so maybe it'll do the rounds again

I'm going to be a boring old f*rt now.... sorry in advance!

I actually allow myself an extra 10 mins every morn and after shower, moisturise, do hair, I then shove bowl of porridge (quaker oats) into microwave for 2 mins, and then eat. After, I do make up and go to work. I never used to eat breakfast, but its all routine. And the porridge releases energy etc during course of the day - and it really is effortless to do and eat!

I'm not a morning person at all and have to have a couple of cups of tea before I go in bathroom for a shower.

You could try it for a week and see how you go.

Good luck - its cheap too! And probably a lot healthier than those shake things.
