Slim Fast

I went on Slimfast for about four weeks properly - and lost half a stone. This particular diet made me feel hungry all the time, but this got better after week one. I found it very useful, as I learned about calorie contents of my favourite foods - - and what I should be eating... I fell off the wagon because I stopped caring about losing weight. Also, your body gets used to reduced calories and stops burning them - then you pile everything back on when you look at a cake.
I still have the occasional shake instead of a meal - out of the fridge it's very refreshing in the summer.
Most importantly though, I did not always have the Slim-fast products. Just stuck to the calories allowed - such as a small bowl of cornflakes instead of my usual bucket - one biscuit for a snack instead of a whole packet (I discovered and fell in love with ricecakes for example). When you start varying your diet, it's an easy step to a proper diet, when you lose weight without noticing...:wall:0 -
Anyone had any success with this? Does it work or are you constantly hungry?0

A friend of a friend did it and said they where starving all the time.
Why spend money on shakes, the ready made ones are £1.19 each  Why not just buy fruit and veg and wholegrain foods with that money. Better for you all round.
All the best what ever you do.

constantly hungry, expensive and horrid, your better off doing the cereal for lunch and dinner thing0

I did it and quite liked it. Didn't get hungry at all as I snacked on fruit too. I used to buy a tin not the ready made ones and got them when on offer. You do need to drink loads of water as I used to get the bad wind too but more gripey pains.
I only lasted a couple of weeks on it though - no willpower!!0 -
I tried it a couple of years ago but hated it. I couldn't drink it without feeling sick.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Word of warning - a friend discovered that the contraceptive pill is contraindicated with Slimfast. So if you're on the pill and you're taking it, use another method of contraception or the weight loss might be short lived0
