    Morning all

Have had a lazy start to the day but will get going in a moment. Off out for tea this afternoon with the kids which will be nice.

I shall do some flying in between

Oh, and Toots - I'll be a much better star keeper next week when you're inside and devoid of communication I promise!

Round of applause please - the bulb in the study went and I couldn't get it out of the holder. So had to get a new bulb holder. Well I've just fitted it and it works. :T

However has anyone tried to put in an energy-saving bulb and found it is too long for the existing shade?
When I was a girl all bulbs were the same size whatever the wattage (and don't get me started on the different types of 'ends')

until I moved here I had bayonets - end of.

    Now
    I have

small SSC (edison small screw - dining room)
    30 w strip
    60 w strip
all strips in kitchen (under cupboard) now intermittent
63 mm spots and 80 mm spot in kitchen
living room small opal bulb full size bayonet
    big strip in shed
door light - front - kaput
back door - works BUT HAS to have old fashioned bulbs - energy saving bulbs blow.
PIR light - hasn't worked for 11 yrs...
two sets of dimmers so no energy saving in those rooms - what will I do when I can no longer buy 'old fashioned' bulbs?
various lamps which take various specialised bulbs
christmas tree lights - 3 sets so three differetn sets of spares for them
    candle bridge

I have a box and a shelf in a cupboard for them

BUT I am capable of buying the correct light bulb without having to take blown ones with me, now!
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

  • Good morning!!!!!!!!!! well almost afternoon :rotfl:

Been busy this morning - I hate food shopping with a passion, hate the driving, hate finding a parking space, hate the buildings, hate all the noise and people........sometimes do an online shop but hate the delivery charge!
But today went to a frozen food shop (can I say the name? It begins FF) and what a difference! proper lighting, decent layout, nice people and filled my freezer. so well happy! Hubby drove too which eased the stress for me.

And got some brill bargains - I eat a lot of quorn as it is better for me although I still like my meat - and it was a decent price there too.

Just decluttered a sarnie (Toots you are right, I eat fine during the week but forget at weekends/days off) and feel just about ready for my walk. Along the canal I think. Will try and not let dog no 2 leap in after the ducks.........

Sandy - I only managed 1 star this week so dont feel badly. You have a baddie arm and I work full time and do voluntary work and look after hubby and the animals.....so although all the nitty gritty stuff doesnt always get done, my house is clean and hospitable which is good enough for me!
I have a week off soon and will do a mammoth declutter then.

    see ya all later!

    1 step xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ps had to laugh at Stripes on the table!
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p
