morning all - it feels like I've been up for ages - OH at his dads so I had to make sure DS got up to go to work. He left at 8.15 and I have been ironing since 7.45 - have done loads - mainly bedding but I am now due a break and a cuppa!

Ds asked last night where dad was - when I said that he'd gone to see grandad Ds commented 'ah so that's why he hasn't moaned tonight!'

Did loads of ironing last night - DD2 was out at a party - i didn't realise it was a sleepover...so DD1 had a peaceful evening too.

WMx 2 done - about to put OH's suit in now - it's a really lovely day here - long may this continue!

OK, DW/WM/TD on and kitchen cleared of rubbish/recycling. Windows flung open to blast the house with fresh air. Why do I feel like I need a break already? Looks like this is going to be a bit of a challenge. I'll have to use toots' motto of 'head down and battle on' (or words to that effect). Either I'm still tired from the work marathon (3.5 hours sleep on Thursday night, and a major 'do' with DS1) or this bug is turning into a chest infection. Or both. :(
Kitchen worktops next... I may have to post 'little and often' today, to keep me going.

Right hubby up so it's time to move rooms about. If i don't return in a couple of hours please come looking for me. I'll be under some bed somewhere.:rotfl:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Hi All
I'm back (ish). Still feeling v. weak, DD and OH have been really ill overnight and DS still has a gripey tummy. He's decided to breastfeed rather than actually eat solid food, which is probably for the best - he's almost a year, so I'll let him off.

Because I've been in bed for the better part of two days, my house is a tip! I'll attempt the following today:

    Renew library books
Fold up futon (weird sleeping arrangements last night - we slept where we fell)
Wipe over DSs toys with Milton solution (to hopefully avoid reinfection)
    WM x 3 (don't ask)

    And I think that's it.

Hope everyone is well - huge hugs to anyone who needs one.
    Take care
    D

Round of applause please - the bulb in the study went and I couldn't get it out of the holder. So had to get a new bulb holder. Well I've just fitted it and it works. :T

However has anyone tried to put in an energy-saving bulb and found it is too long for the existing shade?
When I was a girl all bulbs were the same size whatever the wattage (and don't get me started on the different types of 'ends')

    Wm x1
    Ds2 tidied the living room
    Sorted recycling
    Dressed Ds2
    Put dry dishes away
