Lets not :rotfl: thats why im crying, god im so over the top sometimes. But our bed was delivered, the man ripped a big hole in it while taking it upstairs and now we have to wait 2 weeks for another new one!! I got really angry with the man, and as soon as he left i started crying - think OH is starting to worry about my sanity!Told OH i dont want to live there anymore and to give the keys back to the landlord :rotfl:
Oh dear...
Thats very annoying about your cooker, but why on earth would the electrician think you want to pay to repair it if its only going to break again?!
Someone must have some good news today!

I can see why you're crying...
You're a kind, sensitive wee soul :A who wanted everything to go well during your move into your new love nest but it didn't work out that way...? OH is just a man...he doesn't think about thinks like that!
I would be frustrated about the bed aswell but it's o.k because the new one will be here soon - then you can kick OH out of it when he's annoying you
You'll get your new place sorted and you'll live happily ever after....maybe!!
The electrician said the 'bang' was the element which can be replaced but may not last very long. He held a wee thingy next to something and it started making a funny noise which was kind of like a buzzing noise.
I'm not good at describing stuff, I'm one of those people that say things like 'that guy, from that film about that thing that happened' :cool:Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

I hope so!OH has gone off on a mission to see if there is anywhere else that has beds in stock that can get one to use before then, but im not holding out much hope! I think hes just trying to get away from me though
That doesnt sound very good about the cooker! Definitely getting a new one is the best option then. I have actually never bought a cooker before though so dont know what good prices are for themI hope you manage to get it quicker than i get my bed :rotfl:

Hugs to everyone that needs them..... sending you some good vibes!!
Have just returned from a cuppa at a work colleagues, she is desperate to move as well so we are going to look at a place tomorrow that I looked at previously and are almost definitely going to take it!! We don't have any furniture between us but we are both happy to improvise and use whatever we can for now. We are both in agreement that sky etc are not important and she is happy to use my mobile dongle instead of getting landline internet.
Things are starting to look up!!! For now anyway

I've never bought one either!!
My dad turned up at my flat with one as a moving in gift about 4 years ago...he wired it up for us and took the rubbish away for us too
OH's dad gave us an old freezer so I've never had to buy one.
OH bought the bed!
I have bought my own fridge and washing machine though :j

Hi Flower! Sorry to hear about the bed problem. I'm the same. It's not just the bed being ruined, it's having that happen on top of everything else and the stress of moving etc etc. Men tend to just brush this stuff off, or have a go at someone, but we tend to just get upset.
But don't worry, as Angelic said, it'll be sorted soon, AND your OH is out looking for another bed for you! Ahhhh. (Tell him to try IKEA! They did same day delivery with us!).
Angelic, sorry to hear about the cooker. I think a new one is best and the one you linked looks good, but....any cooker looks good to me as I've been making do with an old microwave oven for over a year now. No room for a proper cooker. Although, OH and I are leaning towards one of those Halogen ovens when we replace the existing microwave/oven.
Good news.....I get to see lots of family and friends from Friday to Sunday!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!Other than that, I am tucking into a Snelle Jelle! (it's like ginger cake). Yum!
And, if all else fails, tomorrow's another day! It could be sh't too, but let's hope that it's full of happiness instead
Oh, and Thrifty, your response to the burglars was very funny! And derserved! I have some other responses in mind also, but...I can't type them on the forum! lol. Plus, I'd have to get to the UK, become a super detective and find the b'ggers first!February wins: Theatre tickets0
