Some of my family live in Manchester, and we have never yet been to visit them when the weather has been good.....its always raining. I know what you mean, its been a tough month for us too, we had a couple of birthdays as well, and I tried to get it all out of my budget....it jut can't be done sometimes. But, just think back to before our LBM, we would have just spent, willy nilly, without giving it a thought. Now I really look at what I am buying and more to the point, can I get it cheaper somewhere else.

Its nice to think that you have 10 days off soon.........(sorry Nanna58)!, I am off work at the end of April for a week, and we have managed to get a cheap holiday in Spain.!! All paid for with saved up money, which we managed to eek out of our budget.

I am just a big bit jealous, would love to be going somewhere, anywhere? but we can't afford it so we are not going this is like one giant step for mankind with us, like you say, previously in our past life we would just have gone and worried about it later, so I suppose we are being mor fiscally responsible, oooh me fiscally responsible, can you believe it??

Red wine for me too Wad!!

Not long been back from my awaydays - horrendous drive up yesterday afternoon - left the westcountry in the rain and drove up to Crawley in the............. rain...and lightening...........and thunder:eek::eek::eek: I don't like it so you can imagine how I was! I couldn't see a thing on the M3 with all the spray. Then didn't sleep at all well, child in the next room was crying most of the night. Much better today, cos there was some sunshine today!

Car passed the MOT:T:T

DH got paid today, bank looks very healthy - until the 1st:(
