hurrah:j:j Peace at last, they have gone with poor DH driving them to the pickup point at Warrington.....did I tell you it was peaceful.......aaah.

Still didn't get away without spending - they sent DH to morrisons for some 'supplies'. When he came back, he said they'd turned him into 'that bloke buying 4 cans of Strongbow & the paper at 5 to 9 in the morning'....note to self, must get them to save ringpulls for your new earring venture...should be a bus full of them by Monday when they come back:rotfl:

Thanks for the PM E52, will deffo take your advice., what the hell.

Cuddly - I also try to lose weight whilst saving money - I mainly do SW, but I don't go to classes any more (used to, now I can't spare the money/time). I've lost 11lb this time, have plateaud a bit, I'm great at maintaining though!! Don't suppose 2 lots of F&Chips this week helped much either. And next week I am visiting in the choccy capital of Switzerland, oh Lord:eek::eek::eek:

    Thanks guys

I eat healthily but I eat too much:eek: and I don't do much exercise (oh and I get terrible sweetie urges when I am fed up or stressed)

So I am going to do more exercise (OH thinks it is really funny when I am flapping my arms like a bird with the WII fit games and doing step cos my coordination isn't that good) and eat smalller portions of healthy food on a small plate.
Then (not MS but never mind) every 1/2 stone I am going to treat myself to something lovely from M and S

I am determined ( and OH is joining in too because he had a recent health scare) which makes it easier.

I'll keep you posted ( and please keep up the pep talks)
    Cuddles:)

wow what a busy bunch we are! washing on line, carers have been , oh had breakfast, dinner in slow cooker (beef scraggy bits and fridge bottom veg) I love it when I make a meal with what would previously been ditched and as its never the same twice variety and all that.:)
I lost 2 stone this year gone and enjoyed being size 10 again. 2 of my neighbours did that £60 a week very low calorie diet at the same time and lost loads of weight, so i guess its what works for you.
An old friend from a previous life (paid work) is coming to visit this afternoon,:j it will be great to see her and catch up. bye for now
    ps swiss chocolate mmmmmmmmmmm.
pps designer ring pull earrings count me in too. mmmmmmmm
  • My goodness, you lot have been busy this morning, can I have 2 pais of earrings too cos I've got 4 holes you know..........
My fantastic little emergency fund has just been blown away, DH's car needs something done £200 and dear doggy has a bad bacterial infection the the skin of his tum, £69 for the vet and this might not fix it, "it could take some time" she says PDD bangs head ofo of handy wall!

Good job I had an emergency fund, note "had"

And isn't march verrrrry looooong, is it ever going to end and be payday?

Good that DH is back Elsie, hope he had a good time in Barcelona and has brought you a wee pressie as he got to go without you.

Sorry to hear about the car and the doggy, both are expensive items when they go wrong. We don't have a dog now, but when we did she cost us £30 a month for prescriptions, and we couldn't get any insurance for her. Still, it has to be paid, they are like one of the family. As you say its a good job you had your emergency fund.!! :T

You could always try a second job like nanna58.......she will be doing a roaring trade in designer earrings.!! :rotfl:

OH is now back, and yes he did bring me a pressie, its in the form of a weeks worth of dirty washing. Still, at least I can get it dry. :D
