    PDD.

See you back on Friday then, My OH is always somewhere these days, and although folks think its great, hotels can be lonely places. :( He usually fills in his time on evening by eating out, going for a walk, and more work.!! Yet everyone always asks him if he's had a good time.??? :rotfl:

  • oooh someone who understands what a pain travelling on business is. At least your OH is a man, eating out and going for walks in strange cities isn't something I can do, so its really boring and lonely, hate it but it is part of my job so no options really... I always look for a hotel that does room service, then I have my dinner and curl up and watch the telly, not very glamourous is it?

My OH is in Barcelona at the moment. Hotel is quite close to Las Ramblas, so he goes for a walk and stops for a beer, As you say, a man can do that, but I wouldn't on my own. Room service sounds much better.:D

  • aaah Barcelona, spent nearly a year near there when I was a girl, it was a very different city then but is fab now, L'Ecomomique in the Born is fab, proper Catalunyan food, not expensive and lovely staff.

PDD - Know what you mean with the hotels and room service, I'm the same, usually end up on the bed complete with laptop and work as well as watching the telly. I'm away again for two days tomorrow too - off to Crawley, exiting! Not!

Nothing in the post today and no phone calls - and CCCS first payment to the creditors tomorrow!

Have a good 2 days away.....it will be pretty quiet on here.:(

Well done on the lack of post and phone calls, and of course the first payment tomorrow. :T:T:T
It seems absolutely ages since we were waiting for our fist payment to go out. (25 months ago), we were excited but scared at the same time. Now we barely give it a thought, except I have a diary and countdown how long we have got left.!! What a sad life I lead. :o

  • Thanks Nanny, I've got friends who think it really glamorous to travel all over for work, as I keep telling them, there is absolutely nothing glamourous about any airport at 6.00am on a winter's morning.............. At least I'm on the train tomorrow, so that is quite relaxing, city centre to city centre. well done the first payment, I was excited like a big kid and I love to see the total going down on the CCCS website, its really going down, not a lot but its been a while since the debt pile shrunk , so its all good.

Hope you won't be too lonely Elsie, the others will keep you company!

Feels good to have money in the bank and not overdrawn a week before wife's payday.

    Hi everyone,
Payday today:j. but in few days very large chunk of that will go to dear old CCCS:(. Still debt is very slowly but surely going down :) so can't really grumble.
Had a letter from in house debt recovery from Santander (have overdraft from old bank Abbey) who said I'd got to pay it back immediatlely or they'd take court action. In big letters said if in financial difficulty should contact debt charities such as CCCS - hello that's who I'm with and have been paying them since Dec - do these people ever communicate with each other (silly question I spose). Decided to save on petrol and walk to work the other day as it was such a beautiful Spring morning. When I left it was pouring with rain and no I hadn't got an umbrella so was forced to do power walking (good for the waistline I guess). Don't you just love the British weather. The rain has not stopped since then. Never ever been on EBay do must ask grown up kids for advice as maybe could get extra cash that way.
My OH also away a lot. He says exactly the same about hotel existence not being full of glamour. Bye for now
