    Good morning everyone.:hello:

Well its a miserable day here in Yorkshire, raining and very dull. I hope its going to brighten up, because I have some washing to do. :( Not very much planned for the weekend, just the usual shopping, but whilst I am out I am going into the library, and into the local charity shop. I want some more knitting patterns, and they usually sell them for abut 10p each. I really object to paying a couple of pounds for them. :naughty:
I shall probably do some baking as well, although its fatal really, I just can't resist " sampling " them, just to see if they are okay for everyone to eat.!!

Nearly the end of the month, so I am looking forward to payday, 25th of the month.!! Yipee.:T

    Have a good day guys.....

Good morning, rain is the order of the day here too, hope for a good day here too, it is my nephews 21st birthday party today. I baked all yesterday for it and only have the cake to decorate and the fruit salad to do then cream on trifles, make coleslaw and potato salad then all is ready. This is his present, and as I have been so bisy I can excuse not getting new outfit . Oh the joys of poverty, eh? Off to get ohs breakfast tray ready for the carers:A coming. have a good saturday everyone

Thanks for your kind comments, it means a lot. Sometimes the debt gets you down, and its nice to hear someone say just how well we have done. It is hard at times, and there are obviously occasions when you get sick to death of juggling the money, or should I say, the lack of money. But its a means to an end, and the day its all paid off won't come soon enough. :T:T

These boards have been a godsend to me, and there are such inspiring people here, who have been battling the debt for a lot longer than we have. I am sure that there will come a point when you can look back, and see how far you have come. You are doing well already, and its certainly a booster when you start to see the debts reduce.

Good luck, and pop into our thread at anytime.
    Thanks for your reply Elsie,

Will keep dipping into your thread.
Just got to stick at tackling this debt.
My OH got a letter from CapQuest this morning which we've now to deal with so I'll be on the phone to CCCS first thing on Monday morning.
From reading some other posts it seems that Capital One are not very helpful so I guess this was to be expected.

    Have a good weekend.

  • Afternoon all

its been a fantastic day here, 15 degrees and sunny, we actually had breakfast outside!!!!
and Citi have accepted OH's DMP after a bit of a multi-lingual tussle, but nevertheless they must have finally understood the Scottish accent.

I haven't time to knit but I'm pretty good at the birth thing so I'll do the puff puff pant pant advice when the time comes...........

Well done that man the Wad, you're going really well, hopefully you'll have a full house of non charging creditors, what did you do??? Do you want to tell us? Was it legal?

mrs invisible that sound fab, in Scotland we call that the purvey, and a good purvey provider is a great prize

Hope you're better Elsie, take it easy this weekend, no point in knocking yourself out, wish we got paid on 25th, last day of the month for us, it seems a long way off yet

    Hi PDD,

You have definitely made me envious of your weather, we have had non stop rain today, and although it has been quite mild, we have just put the heating on for an hour. I think it feels cold because its damp.:(

Well I have got the ebaying bug at the moment. I listed quite a few things last week and ended up with just short of £100.:T:T.....soooo......I've listed some more. It's amazing just what you have in the cupboards and drawers which are things that are never used. So everywhere is having a bit of a clear out this week. Hubby is going away on business tomorrow and won't be back until next Saturday, so I will have plenty of time to fill. This extra money will all be going into the retirement savings pot.!!:T:T
