Hope you are all well, and special thanks to Bunny for our virtual lunch yesterday. It's obviously your fault that my diet isn't going well.!!

Well, I am still at home today, another sick day and another £30 down.......ah well, it will be cheap recipe meals all round next month, but we are away for a week so the housekeeping budget won't have to stretch as far as normal. Wouldn't it be nice to do something or buy something without thinking of the consequences.

Ebay is still going okay, everything has a "watcher"...not that it means anything, but if they all converted to bidders, that would be wonderful. :T

The sun is shining and I'm going to put a load of washing in.......how sad am I, I am off sick and worry that someone might see me hanging the washing out and think I'm not genuinely ill.!!:eek: I wouldn't mind but none of my work colleagues even live near me.:doh:

Just checked banking and all ok. PDD my new account is open now, but won't let me create new pots yet, I paid my deposit by cheque and although is says they have received it, it hasn't come out of my bank account yet. Hopefully once it clears I can create their names.!! Cute

hello everybody, missed yesterdays catch up, so no virtual lunch (sobs uncontrollably) however prob'ly better for the waistline. Just when you think you can put your head above the parapet the bl00d@ taxman takes a swipe. It appears that darling oh owes them £301.20 for last year. Dear Lord, so a phone call to their debt line..... It is because Dwp didnt tell us hewas getting Incapacity benefit. But you got told by us last year and you sent us a demand for over £1000 which we struggled to pay, but did,yes so you did know...we told you. ...........Yes but that was for the previous tax years. you said it would be right this year you would take it off his pension and it seems you have.. .........our calculations show that you owe 301.20 for 08/09 when will you pay? Ho Hum never ends, and the dwp say its nothing to do with them, it just slipped thru the net and was an oversight that we didnt inform tax, and no you cant hold us responsible. arghhhhhhhhh. will it ever end? Rant over calm person emerges and makes coffee and 4 digestive biscuits...and a hobnob...and a piece of flapjack. Sorry for rant, hope everyone is having a better day Cold here and windy so washing on line should dry well.

but did do a couple of days last week so wonga tomorrow(thank god).:T

Sorry to hear your troubles, but I know exactly where you are coming from with the taxman. :mad: My OH had a letter last year saying the same thing, we owed them around £365, which they promptly adjusted his tax code and took more money from us.!! :eek:
This year, he has already had 5 letters from them, he has a forces pension which they say they are taxing at 40%, then in another letter is said that they understood, that he was unemployed at the moment.!!! Where do they get their information from, my OH has never been out of work in his entire life.!! I can feel my blood pressure rising so on to better things. :mad:

You seem to be having the same sort of weather we are in Yorkshire, washing dried outside and back in ready for ironing. Enjoy your coffee, I may have one now, but no biscuits I'm afraid........we've run out 'cos someone has been off work and eating biscuits whilst sat at computer on MSE.! ;)

Feeling a bit better this morning, thanks nanna, but still at home. Back to work tomorrow. It's my middle son's birthday this weekend too, he will be 36.

The pots thing is easy to do, I set one up yesterday, until I realized that my cheque hadn't cleared., and then it wouldn't let me go any further. You just click on the left hand side, I think it says "make more pots",or something along those lines.. Then it just gives you the instructions i.e What do you want to call it, how much do you want to put in, and from which account. it seems easy enough. Can't wait until I can do them.

i know just what you mean. we think things are getting better then another brickwall falls and stops us going any further.The top of my head is bruised from banging it on that damn wall!!!!!!!!:eek:
