  • Wow Elsie and gang....just popped in to catch up on your thread and was awestruck that you have 55 pages and over 1000 replies already:eek:

Clearly you lot needed this thread to unite and fight the debts and share the good and bad days together.

Well done Elsie for taking that first step and starting this very special community:T

    Good morning everyone.

Hope you are all well, No need to check the online banking situation this morning 'cos I did that at 3.30am when I couldn't sleep.!! So had a cuppa and went back to bed eventually.

Going out on a shopping trip with sister today, so I have my usual lines of defense ready for not purchasing anything....i.e... Don't go anywhere to wear anything, therefore don't need it.! Can't see anything I really like.! Don't really want to buy any more clothes until I've lost weight.!! I'm getting an expert on telling these little porkies, that I actually believe them myself.!!:naughty: I think she thinks that I have become a scrooge, because in my pre LBM I was always buying things....as we did then. :o We always go and have a coffee and a bit of lunch, but that's okay because its her turn to pay. :D

Sun is shining, so have a good day everyone, be back later.:D

    Hi all:j

Nice & sunny here too - wow shows up all the dust:D Sadly didn't lose any weight this week (must be all that virtual choccy/wine) but STS. Ah well...

Getting some long overdue housework done so far, then DH will be fetching DD back from uni....just for the weekend. I swear she is more here than there, get a lot more done when she's away though.

Got my lloyds cc statement yesterday & realised that of the min payment (£234.09) £225.28 is interest:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Robbin barstewards they are. Had finally got rid of our massive o/d & we were in credit, a very strange feeling but was really enjoying it. However, decided that the amount of interest on the o/d couldn't be as much as the cc, so transferred a whopping amount onto CC. It still doesn't pay it off, but I am determined not to pay that amount of interest. Don't get paid until next Friday so a while to wait yet........

Have a great day out EC, I think your excuses are really what we should be saying anyhow.....and are perfectly valid. I know it's hard though & I stay out of the shops so I'm not tempted. Still can buy online though...

  • grrr computers, just typed a big long post and lost the lot, so now concise version.

Elsie it will be OK they will make their own mistakes, and you've just got to be there to pick up the pieces, it would help if they listened first but hey.............

never had creme de menthe but ...hey.. Im up for it, at my age there's not many first times left.
Trying to psyche myself up to do the ironing but it isnt working.
elder son rang from china this morning, nice to hear the grandbabes just wish he'd get his skype up and running then I could see them too. They hope to be back for Christmas again. Other dgs is at his daddies today, but his mam will be here for her tea. cumberland sausage and chips. Not healthy but v tasty. And I think that creme de menthe would be the ideal accompaniment

    Hi Sashanut,

I did succumb to buying a couple of strappy t-shirts today, but they were reduced to £5 for 3 instead of £8, also bought a pair of casual trousers and another top, but they are going back......they don't do a thing for me and my voluptuous figure.!!!:eek::eek: Either the trousers or my body are the wrong shape, and I know which one my money is on.!!
