Elsie it will be OK they will make their own mistakes, and you've just got to be there to pick up the pieces, it would help if they listened first but hey.............
I'm bushed , looooong day yesterday, after 11.00pm before I got rid of the peskies, but did the shopping this morning and came under budget, third week running, yahoo!!!
Sunny but definitely chillier here, might have a wee drinkie to-night, feel I need it, a wee brandy Elsie, Cherryade anyone, what about a creme de menthe Mrs I? Nanna/Nanny what's your poisen, Sash, a wee lemonade and I suppose the Wad will want beer?????
Hope you have recovered from the long day yesterday, and well done on being under budget again this week......I'm trying to be very careful this week and so far I'm managing. If I manage to get out of work and straight home, I'm okay, but if I need to pop into the supermarket for something, that's when I come unstuck.:(
You're right PDD, I know they have to make their own mistakes, but we are now told, they are selling their house and will buy eventually where they are going, and as I said its 400 miles away, so that means 400 miles away from son's other 2 children. It's that I can't get my head around.....I never expected to hear this from my son.....how can you be happy just seeing your children at summer holidays etc.I know the kids will be devastated, and they are only 9 and 4 :mad::mad::mad:
Brandy will be lovely thanks......

Good morning nanna........think the wad will take umbridge at being called a lady.!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you are feeling better today, and will definitely get the domestos out on that pole before anyone else uses it.!!
Well, we have decided to go for CCA's on some of our accounts......especially Clydesdale and TSB....this will throw that cat among the pigeons because we are not supposed to do this whilst being on a DMP, but what the hell have we too lose, and everything to gain.We are doing this will the guidance "of never in doubt":A who in my eyes is up there with Martin Lewis.!! :A Feeling apprehensive, but very hopeful, and if we can get rid of some of this debt, then all the better.
Sun is shining, OH outside washing the car...off to use some funds and buy a printer/scanner, think we may need it during the coming weeks....oh and a big box to file all the fan mail we are sure to receive from our creditors.:D I think over the next few weeks I will find out if my back bone has got any stronger.!!
Be back later:):)

Hi everyone:wave:
I haven't been round much this week cos I was feeling a little bit grumpy. I actually got an interview and in my innocence actually thought that there might have been a chance of a job. When I arrived it was a group interview (1st of 3) It was for a temp job, couldn't say how many hours, what hours and you had to be available 7 days a week between 10 and 7. Oh and it was under £6 per hour. The other girls aged between 16 and 20 and the assistant manager doing the interview was 22:eek:
I felt so old. Pride meant that I still gave a decent interview even though it was a total waste of time and money (cos I needed something new to wear for it) and of course I didn't get called back.
I have decided that I really really need to retrain (I sign on tomorrow so I will ask if there is any help)
On the up side one of my boys is about to arrive for a couple of days and I'm really looking forward to that:j:j:j
I really feel for anyone caught up in this volcano dust chaos. Luckily we only know 1 lot of people affected and they are able to drive over to where they are going.
It is lovely and sunny here today (which always makes you feel better)
so hopefully this will last. At least if people can't go somewhere sunny at least it is sunny here.:)
Anyway better go
Have a lovely afternoon
Cuddles:)

:)Hi nanna
I feel that the pole dancing is more of a hobby than a job:rotfl::rotfl:
I didn't really expect to get it but it was more how it made me feel (old, decrepid, past it etc) but the positive side is that I am determined to now look a different direction (not sure what yet, all ideas welcome) and to retrain if possible.
One thing that us oldies have that the youngsters don't is plenty of practice of picking yourself up and dusting yourself off and getting on with life.:grouphug:
Time for a cuppa I think:coffee:

Tell me about it Sashanut.!!
I used to be a Estage Agent, and then due to ill health, had to give it up......I tried to get back in when I was feeling better, but because by then I was about 55, there was no chance, even though I was really very good at my job. When I went for one interview the manager who interviewed me said that if they employed me, I would be better qualified than all of them there, and they felt that they would lose their other staff. I really think its 'cos I wasn't " eye candy ".......i.e now old, past it. etc.:(:(
Good on you for thinking about retraining.....:T:T
