Personally I would have refused to speak to them on the subject as they were probably trying it on. I would have said to refer to the letter you had sent and all the evidence is there. If they call again then perhaps its better to ask for them to write to you when you can get hold of your "file" with all documents in it.Hiya. Quick update and advice needed,
I just had the bank on the phone there. Now, i dont know whether it was the branch or wotever. Kinda threw me a bit.
They said that they have received my letter and investigating it. Then asked ...
" Was it the branch that you made the loan with " ?
I said that it was over the phone .........They asked ...
" Was that Dundee, blah blah .. ?
I just said " I dunno. It was just a phone number in had ".
She said " ok. Did they then send you out the paperwork to sign " ?
I said " YEAH "
She then said " Ok thats fine. We will send you out a letter in the next couple of days to say that its getting investigated "
I wasn't expecting a phone call at all. What else can i expect do you think ?

Who was this Steve? We had calls from MBNA which I was freaked about too:eek::eek::eek: however we answered them honestly and we were successful I did feel they were trying to catch us out tho and was worried about my answers even though I knew we had been missold. Remember you dont need to speak with them on the phone and really it is probably better to have a paper trail. I ask them security questions and for the password when people purporting to be the banks etc phone it really hacks them off, well I dont know that they are who they say they are......:rotfl:0 -

Well, i just received the letter through the door 5 minutes ago from the bank. It aint a questionaire though.
It started off by saying that they are referring to my letter which is now receiving their attention.
I will read out a paragraph from said letter ...
The points you have voiced in your letter will be investigated by our Customer Engagement department who will write to you when the invedtigation is complete.
We will be in touch in due course . . . . . . .
I was expecting that questionaire that some people have been talking about lol.
Feedback ?

Hi Steve
This looks like procedure, basically to let you know they have recieved your complaint and it will be receiving attention by the main dept who deals with this, so maybe if you are to receive a questionnaire, it will therefore be sent by that dept.
Hope you hear soon, good luck.
