Also check the phone isn't turned onto "silent" - my youngests favourite trick.....Oh I didn't hear you calling my phone was on silent......hmmmmm.
As for checking call logs etc, my eldest used all 3000 of her "unlimted texts" last month with 3 days to go until they were renewed.....she was beside herself that she couldn't "Keep in touch". At least I know she's making good use of it!

Great minds clearly think alike. The many rules of phone ownership included neglecting to answer which results in instant confiscation of the phone which thusly means no unsupervised trips anywhere. They have an old PAYG phone and a whopping fivers worth of credit so they can't run up any bills. Figured this is a necessary evil since DD1 transfers to high school in five months time and has to negotiate a miles worth of country lanes without footpaths before crossing a road with a horrific blind junction which is notoriously busy at the sort of time she'll be crossing it. Theres only one bus each way each day so I need to know if she misses it. I'm becoming a bit paranoid. Parents from the her current school are trying to sort out a private minibus as the school bus doesn't go that far but there are more potential users than spaces plus its looking like being £250 a month per child which is likely to kill the project. Especially since most of the parents car share at the mo. Need to come up with something shes happy with that gives me peace of mind too.
Spent yesterday morning making purses out of fruit juice containers, bracelets from magazines and coasters from plastic bags. Followed this up with an afternoon building birdhouses, sundials, birdbaths and nest boxes and then clearing up the mess left behind when the teachers !!!!!!ed off home. Detoured back via Mr Ts to prevent the little red light on the dashboard flashing. Managed to blow £55 on crap whilst there and have enough soft drink to keep OHs sugar cravings at bay for quite some time. Fortunately his upset stomach seems to be settling down which means considerably less bathroom cleaning. Somedays I wonder if hes been housetrained at all.
Did a tiny bit more ironing and a little bit of washing up but not a lot. Should be spending today whooshing round with a broom rammed up my jacksie attempting to clean the house to the sort of standard my parents will approve off knowing that tomorrow I'm going to run in the door from school grab the hound, visit the vets and arrive home to find that the parents are early for the first time ever. So OH and I are off to the outlet village where we're going to rather decadently have lunch out.... will be most gobsmacked if this is at a venue other than McDonalds. Apparently OH requires trainers but I bet we return home with tons more than that. Especially since I'll be visiting Gap to see if they have any super skinny extra long trousers for the beanpole like daughters who keep growing and need new clothes and shoes again although its really not that long since the last lot.
Need to purge their wardrobes over half term to get rid of all the too short / too small stuff which should free up quite a lot of space. Dd2 is rapidly catching up with DD1 so that almost as soon as its too small for DD1 it fits DD2 which is quite scary considering theres a three year age gap. Does mean we don't have much stuff in the inbetween size left in storage. In fact I do believe it would be beneficial to purge my wardrobe again too seem to have loads of jeans but not much else that I actually wear. May as well get shut of all the stuff that I've kept just in case I get a job in an office or suitably posh place, its not going to happen, I couldn't go back to a regimented job again without going nuts besides which its so mid 1980s its funny. Also have a vast array of dresses that OH kept persuading me to buy when DD1 was tiny. They're not me, I don't wear them so it seems daft keeping them. Bet I still can't persuade OH to part with any of his suits though even though they haven't been worn at any time in recent memory. He took enough persuading to get rid of his scout uniform.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

It arrived this morning and is even better in the flesh. Thank you v. v. v.v. muchly!!!
Present is sorted too. Have blown £20 on two ridiculously overpriced t-shirts simply because they're so very Granny and they made me laugh out loud in the shop much to the amazement of the shop assistants. Fingers crossed I guessed at the right size.
OH purchased the first pair of trainers he tried... why is shopping never so simple for women? I blew a wodge of vouchers in La Senza on new pjs for DD1. More amazingly though we didn't end up at McDonalds - Hoorah! Instead we got fantabulous pasties from the West Cornwall Pastie Company van and then sat in the car to munch them because the idea of sitting in the rain outside didn't appeal. Am most glad we took OHs car because they were a bit on the crumbly side but rather tasty.
Went in search of the handbag of destiny in the Mulberry outlet shop but couldn't find it. Suppose that saved me being arrested for stroking an inanimate object in public. Wandered into Radley and swiftly out again. Far too many women wiith pushchairs to make browsing enjoyable. Wandered round aimlessly for longer than anticipated. Now have 30 minutes to achieve something before departing for a long afternoon of bog brushing thanks to the boss decreeing that the lttle darlings could use the new loos even though the builders haven't finished fitting the doors or more concerningly sealing the edges of the urinal. Am not particularly looking forward to this. Will be finishing early though because tonight is bingo night and I'm most determined to win an Easter egg. Hoping we're home by 8 because the DDs will be unbearable tomorrow if its much later although I'm sure OH will make the most of the peace.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Yesterday was most definately the most challenging day of the month so far. The DDs were over excited before they arrived at bingo which meant that DD1 forgot her purse and DD2 decided not to bring hers citing money saving as a reason for spending OHs money instead of her own. By the time I made it to the hall OH wa sittinglike a bingo pro with a barage of tickets in front of him whilst the DDs and I had one each. Even that was enough to wind him up. Not content with doing his own tickets he also wanted total control over everyone elses and insisted that the DDs left theirs on the table where he could see them to double check the numbers whereas DD2 leapt up and down waving hers about everytime she coloured a number in yelling I got one, I got one much to the ammusement of the people we were sharing a table with. Unsurprisingly OH won two eggs which had the DDs bouncing up and down in their seats. DD1 took off to collect his first prize at a sprint and attempted to do the same with the second earning an earbending on manners. DD2 promptly snatched the winning ticket and legged it earning herself an ear bending too. Meh.
Explained to the DDs that their behaviour was unacceptable and then sent them straight to bed. Five minutes later they were both asleep and OH and I spent the evening watching the MASH the film which had us both cackling like Macbeths witches. Went to bed at 11:30 for the third night in a row. Am kettled before I even begin the day which will start with a bang as I deal with the aftermath of bingo.
OH detoured home via the village shop procuring a bottle of wine which spent the evening unopened on the worktop. Have to say I'm most surprised at this.
Need to throw a brush around to shift the piles of dog hair which accumulate at the edges of the floors overnight. Also need to lob bleach down the loos and do an emergency seat clean. Filling the dishwasher should clear up the kitchen and use up what little time I have to dedicate to housework this morning. Its going to be a very hectic day. Will be v. glad when the hounds dressing gets changed as it stinks. Had forgotten that dogs sweat through thier paws so encasing one in a bandage and then bunging in a plastic bag makes the doggy smell far more pungent than normal. Morning Moo
Got your card today, 'twas most unexpected and was lovely to receive after a terribly sh*tty day at work, so thank you very much.
Could Mr Moo's bottle of vino go walkabouts? I know he's not dealt with the temptation of having booze in the house very well before...0
