    UK Postal Rates Increase 6 April 2010

    The price of a first class stamp will increase to 41p from 39p (up 5.1%).

    Second class will increase from 30p to 32p (up 6.7%).

    Large letter new prices increase by 5p to 66p for up to 100g (up 8.2%) for first class and from 47p to 51p for second class.

    BEWARE: Easter weekend coming up - April 6th is next Tuesday.

    and nothing else goes up every year?
    i was talking to someone the other day who is paying over 40p a litre more for fuel than they did when they bought their car last year
    for years RM prices were artificially low,now they are rising to realisitic levels

    has anyone heard (on the ebay forums) if ebay has plans to increase some of the capped postage limits in relation to stamp prices going up ?

    I would very much doubt any of the caps will go up. The books for instance are co incidentally exactly the same as the Amazon fixed postage costs at £2.75 and that hasn't budged (except to go down) for years.

    Blast. I send out a lot of DVDs by first class and I still have a fair number of 90p stamps left - does anyone know if i can return those to the post office for money-back?

    just buy stamps of the required value to make them the correct price
    they are still worth 90p
