The problem is, they still have a certain amount of clinical confidentiality, so a large proportion of the documents that would answer such questions can't be published. What we do know is that prior to the court case the experts found they were both capable of knowing right from wrong, that there were no medical grounds for diminished responsibility, and both knew that death was permanant.
So, from a legal perspective, even if they were abused it would not be a mitigating factor.

The failure wasn't a leftie failure. It was a rightie failure. The conservative government was in charge at the time, and the boys were convicted and sentenced under the law which the soft, defective righties in the conservative party introduced in 1991. At the time, the conservative party had been letting dangerous criminals loose early on a regular basis, because they refused to put enough money into building prisons. It is current conservative policy to cut the Prison budget by over 20% in real terms. They haven't learned anything from their past mistakes. But then, righties are always a lot of mouth and no trousers where it comes to crime.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

don't be naive. there is no one but a left winger that would excuse their behaviour or "rehabilitate" rather than punish.
if you are saying this was done for economic reasons, you are mistaken.
the criminal law system, the prison service, social service and any other govt dept involved in this travesty is infested with lefties.0 -
it's a sad and difficult case. it seems the life licence has been used on venables as it now appears he could be a threat.
justice has been done as far as i can tell.
in the case of 10 year old boys i don't think a life sentence is necessarily in order.
do people feel as angry about the mary bell case? she's had a daughter i believe and they both continue to live anonymously. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

.
The law was brought in during 1991, after the conservative party had been in office since 1979, when the conservative party had a strong majority and could have introduced any law it wanted. This was the law it wanted.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Criminal Justice Act 1991. The law that also introduced people getting off scot-free after serving half their sentence.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Are you out there defending and shouting about 2 year olds being abused and neglected right now? They will be the future 'animals' you target, so why not help them now in thier need?0 -
Why do people like White Horse hate children so much?
What those two children did to another child was terrible beyond belief. But why should our hatred of them be so much more obsessive than of adult criminals? Are the crimes of children so much more heinous than for instance those of the Kray twins who tortured and murdered their victims and yet became gangland heros in the eyes of many with a successful film to mark their exploits?
Among their many starry friends was the former Conservative MP, Lord Boothby, with whom Ronnie Kray had a homosexual relationship and who campaigned for the Krays in the House of Lords.
When the Krays murdered Jack McVitie, Ronnie Kray held held him while Reggie Kray mutilated his face and stomach with a carving knife, continuing as he lay dying on the ground. With them were the Lambianou brothers. Tony Lambianou later made money with his book bought by many where he described flushing McVitie's liver down the toilet after it had been cut out by the Krays. They terrorised the east-end and yet are still heros to some.
As children we do things we would never do as adults. Some tie their friends to trees or tear wings off butterflies. Young people drive recklessly regardless of the fact that they might maim or kill someone else. They are more likely to carry knives. Thankfully, most go on to become decent responsible adults.
I don't know why some like White Horse develop such an obsessive hatred of child criminals but assume it's something to do with his upbringing or something that happened to him many years ago. Perhaps his obsessive hatred makes him a victim too.0
