No, unloading and placing correctly in cutlery draw requires all items to be facing the same way. So if some knives are blade downwards, all cutlery needs to be the same.
But, no! Surely, you have to keep the sharp pointy knives in a separate compartment? Elfin safety will be disappointed if you don't.
Well, anyway, you can see where the arguments arise. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yes, trying to qualify these leads is really, really difficult, but it's essential to avoid much wasted energy. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yes, trying to qualify these leads is really, really difficult, but it's essential to avoid much wasted energy. I think it was quite wrong of these people to allow you to travel that far without giving you much more info beforehand. You, OTOH, need to assert yourself and insist on the info before committing to a 200 mile trip if this sort of thing happens again in future.

Youngest elf is 16, so knows to keep well away from sharp knives; in fact keeps well away from kitchen knives, dishwasher and anything else that he might classify as housework.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Quicker? Than pushing a button? Can't agree there.
Dishwashers are great. Completely lazy, but hey I'm not on this earth to do the washing up. Not when I could be in here posting drivel.0 -

I both drivel-post and wash up by hand. I do find washing up quicker...its not just pushing a button, its rinsing, brushing off stubborn bits, then stacking (add to many households he stacking argument.). I do really hate unstacking though. A secret and slightly slummy pleasure to living alone weekdays is never putting away the washing up, because its the same stuff recycling. Unless people come in for tea/a meal. Not putting away is one of DH's pet hates...he often comes in, kisses me, kisses the cats and dogs then wshes his hands and puts away my dry dishes.(Meanwhile I open a bottle and whack the oven on).
I'm desperately trying to find curtains now. I was heartbrken to find three curtains in a box had been rat chewed sometime while stored at my parents house.. One was antique french and was going to go over the front door, the others were beautiful pink silk from my parents' old house.

Rinsing? Don't bother. I've got a good dishwasher obviously!
Stacking? It's only the same as putting it in the sink.lostinrates wrote: »I do really hate unstacking though. Now you're talking. Something we can definitely agree on. Virtually any chore/situation/day is improved with a nice glass of wine..... and then the rest of the bottle. I limit myself to 2 or 3 days a week for fear of turning into an alcy mind.0 -
The cold is still here. I think it wants me to infect someone before it goes away0
