I still love the red cars, but my money is on Red Bull, preferably Webber. What do you think?

Nearest Waitrose to me is apparently 50 miles away, but I've never been there. I've been in one Waitrose once, and they were just shutting the doors so didn't get to look around. It was small and brightly lit. Are they all small? It was the one at Barry, South Wales. I found it by accident, it was in a residential side street. Had a stonking great car park though!

Supermarkets here are titchy and none are 24 hours. To get Tesco or Asda, or to get 24 hours, it's a 40 mile round trip. I'm not that interested in food shopping - nearest is good.

Well i'd like to see Alonso win but i don't think Hamilton will be too far away.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Alonso win. I'd shout from the rooftops with joy if Massa won, but I just think the circuit will favour the other kind of red. However my favourite to win the title, if not a Ferrari is Webber, so I'm not too unhappy. He appeals to that little part of my heart that will always belong to Australia. I like Button too, but not keen on Hamilton, even though he's from round here. Bit too flashy (she says, talking about arguably the most flashy sport on the planet).

Oh well, work tomorrow, off to bed. Night all.

We are getting a Morrisons, good news as its competition for Tesco. Don't really know what Morissons is like, I've never been in one before.

Can't afford waitrose, don't like Morrison or Asda because of other shoppers (oops, who is not bigoted now)

Sainsbury used to the the unknown supermarket north of Leeds and Morrisons was unknown South of Watford.
Isn't the standard joke (?) that when Safeway threw in the towel, the Chelsea branch had it delicatessen section replaced by a pie counter?

I have just searched my brain and then the web sites to check and these are my statistics:
Proper supermarkets with car park and probably petrol:

Within 20 mins on an old push bike, with a large plastic crate strapped to pannier rack:
    3 Tesco
    2 Asda
1 Morrison (recently taken on following the expansion of the Co-op)
    1 Sainsbury
    2 Lidl
    1 Aldi

Within 20 mins by car (including those above):
7 Tesco (bit iffy I've not been to all of them but they have petrol)
    5 Sainsbury
    4 Morrison
    4 Asda
1 Waitrose (+4 within an extra 5 minutes)
    ? Lidl
    ? Aldi

These places befuddle my brain - does anyone need to choose between 18 different types of pre-prepared salad leaves?

I find this stuff inscrutable, compared with our simplistic alphabet (until we get into words like pneumatic etc.)
The second line is some sort of Chinese, I think they are peoples names or "chops" (as in chop chop "I need a signature")

    Within 20 minutes by bike

    1 Morrison
    1 Tesco
    1 Lidl
    1 Solar

We also have 2 small Co-op's and 1 larger one.

    Within 20 minutes by car

Erm....can I get back to you? The larger town near us is an unknown quantity when it comes to shops but I do know there is a big Tesco and Asda (although the Tesco may need an extra couple of minutes to get there and the Asda and extra 5-10 minutes)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Only one supermarket has petrol, we have 3 petrol stations. There's no 24 hour shops and no 24 hour petrol here - in fact, if you want/need anything other than beer/kebabs after 11pm-midnight you have a 30 mile round trip.

Wtihin 20 minutes by old bike (all small):
    - Co-Op
    - Aldi
    - Lidl
    - Morrisons
    - Sainsburys (used to be Somerfield)
    - Tesco Metro

Within 20 minutes by car ... see previous list... after 20 minutes in the car you're still in the middle of nowhere.

My Tesco is within 2 miles as will be the new Morrisons. Also a Lidl nearby.
Another 2 Tescos within 5 miles and 2 Sainsburys and an Asda.

    All stupidly big stores.

I think there may be a tiny Tesco nearby also.

I suspect that Morrison will deliver vouchers that Tescos will accept, after the first novelty visit to Morrisons I'll be back at Tesco with the Morrison voucher.

I doubt Morrison will last long, that site has been tried by Homebase, Currys, DFS, Smyths toys. They all packed up and left.

Hamilton's on the back foot already.

I see Lee McKenzie is hosting this weeks BBC coverage as Jake is doing the commonwealth games.

I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up doing the job full time going by her [STRIKE]wiki[/STRIKE] CV.

    That explains it.
