I've had another think on the supermarkets.....the 20 minutes by bike would actually need someone really bombing it down the road on the bike to get there in 20 minutes seeing as it takes 10-15 minutes in the car!

Our Tesco is diddy, Morrisons I would call a middling size, Solar is fairly large, Lidl not their biggest, Co-op smallish.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • Is "solar" the co-op in disguise?
(I don't know where my nearest Co-op is now, we used to have one in the local village but it turned into an antiques shop many years ago).

I do believe the co-op for the South of England is supplied from a warehouse not a million miles from the Dartford Tunnel ?

Just filling in a web form and I came across this little gem: "If you would not like to be added to our active customer list, please untick the box". First rate obfuscation!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

When some of these household names were challenged their defence was that every email contained an opt out link.

    So that is OK then!

There was a case in US recently where someone was fined $1 billion for spamming. Though I doubt they will get the money.

I doubt Morrison will last long, that site has been tried by Homebase, Currys, DFS, Smyths toys. They all packed up and left.

I know - v annoying as we have some Smyths vouchers dd2 was given as a birthday present that we now can't spend! I think the nearest would be at least an hour's drive...

    Maybe I can ebay them??

When I've seen vouchers on eBay they've usually gone for almost the whole value.

Now's the time - coming up to Xmas.

    I've never heard of Smyths

The EU has an opt-in policy.
The US has an opt-out policy.

If the originating company is within the EU then you should have to tick the box to be included. But many get it wrong.
