    Ok listen up...

    Microwave Tablet

    2 ozs Butter

    12 ozs Sugar

    Small tin of evaporated milk

    5 mins at 750

    Stir

    5 mins at 750

    Stir

    3 mins at 750

    Beat with spoon until stiff.

Tips: Don't let it get too dark or too stiff. It should be able to spread in the baking tin. Leave it to cool properly, over night if you can resist :D

I've had loads of different recipes of tablet over the years but that's as good as any.

    Everyone must try it

What's this 750 lark? I've never had/heard of tablet before an hour ago or less. I am guessing the 750 means you have to have a thermometer and use a saucepan and measure stuff...?

Sounds way too much faffing for me. Why not make some and send us all a bit. After all, for those of us that have never had it, if we make it we won't know if we've made it right/wrong as we've no benchmark.

750 in the microwave PN :D

It's one of a few things that are better done in a microwave IMO

    I've now edited the title.

I love the way they call it 'The Atlantic Highway!' It's still the same twisty, crappy A39 it always was, especially near Bude. But then, over that way everything is 'Atlantic' this and that.

Over here it's bloody Tarka. I even saw Tarka Chimney Sweeps the other day. What has an otter got to do with sweeping chimneys?
Yes, the name conjures up images of carefree days being driven to a holiday destination in an open top sports car, occasionally glimpsing the Atlantic Ocean as it teases you on every bend with its promises of carefree times to shortly be spent in a fabulous holiday home with somebody you love, spending time making lovely sunny memories.

When actually you're on a narrow, twisting, grey road, watching out for idiots and the only 'view' is the 4rse of the lorry in front or the bushes that line the road.

    Completely misnamed.

As for Tarka Chimney Sweeps - I bet an otter does a fab job if you shove a broom handle up his jacksy and shove him up the chimney!

Here's one tree sculpture, maybe not all done with a chain saw, which used to be 250m from my house....

Just realised, no scale, but the daffodils show it's quite large!

He's a bit creepy ... looks like the sort of nutter that you'd wake up and find in your bedroom at night, wielding an axe over his head.

    And his chin's too long.

Yes, I never liked him/her much, and I'm not sure if the Park people did either, but having comissioned someone........Well they couldn't say much once it was done, could they? I think it's a goddess of fruitfulness, or some such thing.

Apparently, there was something wrong with the tree and it had to come down. Could have left the main trunk to the woodpeckers for my money.

This is the sort of uppity middle class nonsense that can no longer be afforded by whichever ridiculous idiots make the decisions to buy 'art'.

Round my way they commissioned that bird that did the willow man beside the M5 to create some smaller willow men - supposed to last years. Anyway, the birds got them. The birds swooped down and robbed the heads off them piece by piece until they were headless. Total cost was £25k I think ... meanwhile, up the road, they closed the public loos in a tourist town because they couldn't afford the £4k/year running costs.

Lots of money wasted on utter tripe in these past 10 years.

Let's hope it all stops now... all this high-falutin' type of nonsense. Nobody needs this stuff. Really.
