Ok you lot, I'm going to ask you for a favour now. Something I swore I'd never do, but its nearly bedtime and my thanks count is now in single figures away from a big number....

    I love chainsaws

Very expensive to do properly. The course costs something like £150, but before you can do it you need the saw, special trousers, boots, gloves, helmet and visor....probably a special jacket too.

So, no way you can get the training for less than about £600.

No wonder hardly anyone seems to bother.:(

Sounds like the job description for a !!!!!! movie actor. Do you also need to grow a moustache and wear a tool belt?

I was driving through North Devon last month and round about Bude there was a chainsaw sculptor at the side of the road. Now, these aren't unusual by any means - if I want things sculpted from wood with a chainsaw I can think of a few local roads to drive along to find some great ones!

But this guy had ..... 6' bears. I swear. 6' high solid wood bears sculpted from wood with a chainsaw. Big grizzlies.

I know the size of the back of my car and I nearly bought one as a surprise gift for somebody ...

I've given you a few thanks over the last year or so.

When you get 9999 I'm going to go back over them and start "de-thanking" them to keep you just under.

And wasted hours/days/weeks. If I'd written this much in terms of articles I'd be rich :)

Which is why I'm now trying to OCD my way through 1000 articles in under a year, rather than spend time here :)
