If you had a northern OH, like me, then you'd know mither.
Very useful word - I'd never heard it till I met him either.
Another very useful Northern phrase - eat a little something to 'put you on' till dinner. Self-explanatory, likewise new to me.
Or as they say down south....
Knees up mother brown!!!

I had never heard of 'mither' until now, but whenever you're 'in a tizz' the only known remedy is a nice cup of tea!Ellie

Nope, just back from my parents party and rather tipsy! We returned earlier than expected as youngest who was quite unsettled by the break to routine, upended a chair unintentionally (his shoe caught on it while he was doing ministry of funny movements), caught himself on it and then ended up in the gas fire, bruising the entire left side of his back.
Nice evening nonetheless and dad got quite emotional doing the speeches. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Morning all,
Been awake since half 4 now, grrrr! I have a plan and I know what I want, but I want it NOW! Hmm, the words 'quantum' and 'leap' are making themselves heard with alarming frequency now.

It's a good day to be awake.
The "i want it now" tree often bears a low net yield :A0 -

Hehe, I was drunk for the first time in goodness knows how many years (I don't usually drink enough units of alcohol to fill all my fingers over an entire year!)
Youngest is fine, he has a scrape down the entire left side of his back, I think from the chair leg but good old calpol is taking away any soreness and he had a good nights sleep.
It was a very good night last night, very noisy at times - goodness knows what my parents neighbours thought, their usually quiet and retiring old people next door partying. Youngest coped better than we thought he would with the amount of people in the house although outsiders looking in would have thought what a terrible little boy he is, but to us, his behaviour was better than expected..we only got ministry of funny noises, movements and hyperactivity with only a little bit of temper.
When things got too much for him, we went out into the garden with him just so he could chill out a little and be away from the noise and people in the house...we all agree the right decision was made to have everyone round to the house instead of all of us going out for a meal, there is no way he would have coped with that as there would have been no escape for him to chill out. He is used to eating out but finds too many people around the table very unsettling. We made it!
