Courgettes and picking...din't you grow loads? You'll be picking them as fast as you can if that's the case
baby ones picked to eat while you water/work are a delight...I prefer most stuff raw and from the ground. Sometimes I run it under the hose.

I'm rather excited, because our dozen tomato plants are now all in flower. As long as they don't get blight, we will probably start getting green tomatoes for chutney soon, followed by delicious red tomatoes... can't wait;)“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

My excitement is I found a HUGE plum tree in the garden at new house last night. Can't believe I missed it (but its growing through an apple, so my guess is I was blinded by apple blossom. And its got lots and lots of plums on it. I'm really hoping its a nice plum, not one of those mean ones. and I hope the apples are nice too...and hope they are different varieties. I'm not going to have masses of freezer space this year, so I'm hoping that one is a latish one that will store ok.0

Erm, what ever is growing in my garden appears to be growing well!
Having a nice chill out few minutes at the moment after the rush around this moring and before the rush around this afternoon. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

You must be delighted... I've never liked plums raw, but they make brilliant jams. Yummy.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

LOL, I love them raw (as do the dogs) and find plum jam a bit of a disappointment :rotfl:but other people love it so I make it. Its also great in baking. I guess I'll be using it where I might now use cherry jam.
Raw ones...the best are those big blue/black rather than purple ones, that are heavy and juicy. Or the reddish ones. Or the yellow ones. I love green gages too. Actually think I just love all the stone fruit.:o0 -
Weird and wonderful scientific research: am I the only one that thinks this has military uses? http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20100624/tsc-scientists-find-key-to-beating-fear-4b158bc.html .
It's something out of a pulp fiction novel.lostinrates wrote: »Raw ones...the best are those big blue/black rather than purple ones, that are heavy and juicy. Or the reddish ones. Or the yellow ones. I love green gages too. Actually think I just love all the stone fruit.:o
Maybe I'm biased, because we have the purple ones here, and I just find them kind of disapointing. Actually, lots of out fruit was put in by previous owners, who tended to do the self sufficiency thing, and concentrated on cooking varieties... so, they are generally not the ones I would have chosen.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Courgettes... any time between 4-6 inches.
Did we establish what kind of brocolli it was?
Calabrese.
My tomato plants are getting more flowers on too! & I'm getting a number of flowers on my beans...:j
lir I am envious. I adore plums. Everyone thinks I'm a bit nuts, as I love to get to them early, nice & tangy! (NB for tangy, read sour as hell;))It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
