Its felt very, very slow. We were meant to exchange earlier this week. We have delayed completion by a few weeks, because we have some contracted time scales that are tight to do with purchasing responsibility, and wanted to give ourselves and extra month to get a start on some of those.
edit: and dh's boss just told him to come home early. Yippee!0 -

Wahey! Nice one! Party!

You'll now have to repeatedly post that prices are going up, everyone else has missed the boat, and so on. Oh, & make hamish your bestest buddy!;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Said I wasn't going to post on this thread again but just couldn't let LIR's news go without a comment.
Wahey! Excellent stuff and so pleased for you after the stresses you had last week.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

actually, I feel in the shorter term its likely prices will go down, that that's what happens when I buy something generally, lol. I also think its indicated by the bank's surveyor's remarks n the market and the fact this went back to the underwriters for review a couple of times. But there is a comfortable cushion for us in the property and its a long term property. Much to the distaste of many we will indeed have missed ''rungs of the ladder'' and one we couldn't possibly have afforded in 2007. It also is the elusive ''doer upper'': ironically only purchasable because we could put a decent amount of equity in it.0 -

But has the place got room for Alison the possibly masculine chicken?

Thank you tomterm.
there is room, but no the will to keep mulitple boys about, unless they will coexist peacefully and free range.
We'd like bees but have to sort out something to eat first: not many trees about yet, and no nearby gardens, so I think that might be better left.
Alison is beautiful though.....quite a different colour to how s/he started out. I'll have to get a picture to share.0 -
Sometimes, you can keep bees at a local allotment... depending on agreement. If you don't have local food that might be the best.
I like the concept of bees, I don't like being stung. Did you see the victorian farm program... where the bee 'climbed' the blokes trousers... classic.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
