Realised tonight there are some great joys to be had with the children growing up - showed them their first Monty Python clips tonight! :):p

Younger one loved it, older one still not sure. She'll come round...

Made me realise there is a whole heap of stuff they're not old enough for yet to look forward to! :)

Not the hand cuffing, but I can't help think a few ''life swap'' type events every five/ten years in life would help us all gain some experience and sympathy.
edit: I did no postthis on this thread...how odd. Oh well!

Couldn't work out if you were having a psychic moment there or there were alternate handuffing convos going on over here..... :A

Maybe thats whats wrong with me. I need to stand outside the houses of the upper middle classes every morning, saluting.... I will then understand their plight.... :D

Clearly you automatically get put onto the Nice People thread, as befits your personality. :) Kind of default location.

I, however, was extremely careful to keep my comments off the Nice People thread.

Don't want to upset all the Nice People. :)

So sorry to hear that. I wish her all the best :( < sounds terribly lame, I know... I hope she is looked after I mean. In my limited experience cancer care including hospices etc are very good now...

IYSWIM something about cancer which makes the family feel so helpless, worse than any other illness, I've thought...

Thinking of you & you family, so sad :(

I've had to ditch the hamster cage for carting the chicks about in. They have graduated to an airline carrier for cats. Tonight was quite hilarious as they were rushing out as quicklyas I put them in. Tomorrow I'm going to move the broody coop from the garden into the chicken bit of garden, so they can see big chickens.

The broodies are ridiculous. Old cuckoo is sitting on nothing at all. Just an empty nest, poor old thing. The other two are ''sharing'' five eggs. Two mother's give the chicks lots of protection, but its likely one egg gets left out in the cold a bit, so doubt all will hatch.
