A friend of mine is a fantastic artist. Brilliant at drawing. She argues with me all the time as I tell her I can't draw, & she argues that everyone can draw, you just draw what you see.
My drawing never looks like what I can see....:(
On the plus side, James were fantastic!:D Had a great night. & Recieved their new mini album - highly recommended to all MSE-ers! Can't stop listening to it right now...
Bristol on the other hand - what a boring place that is! No character, no soul, no nothing. I will not be going there again...:(It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Oh, you must have gone to the wrong bit of BristolParts are lovely. Bristol has changed a lot in the last decade or so though, lots of development...it probably needs a few years to catch up with it self. But places like Clifton are really super, not to be dismissed IMO.

we had a disaster tat the weekend, as the incubator blew a fuse. No idea when, by the time we checked it was cold. Chickens get off eggs t eat and drink, but this might have delayed hatching or ..killed my eggs. *sigh*. I'd spent ages getting the brooder just right too...:(
we could really do with some rain now. the borders are getting really dry, and starting to worry a little about grass.0 -

I think it's a skill with a 'click' factor... it's a bit like reading... once you can read you can't even remember what it was like not being able to read. The concept that someone else can't do it seems impossible.
Unfortunatly, it hasn't clicked for me.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

We've had a disasterous start to the week.....my dad had a severe stroke this morning. Mum rang me in a panic straight after she called 999 and dad was taken straight up to hospital where he was given clot busting drugs.
It's apparently a severe stroke with his left side unable to be used, goodness knows how mum is going to cope now, she relied on dad to do all the driving, finances etc (it's an old school marriage, the man provides, the woman does the housework sort of thing).
Hopefully will know a litte more tonight as I need to go back up to pick her up/drop pyjamas off and take my brother up.
The TMA is just going to have to wait....it's not important right now.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Very sorry to hear that Sue'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Sue, very best wishes for your father, indeed all of your family.0

Single Sue, I am sorry to hear about it, and hope things get better.
On the TMA issue, I would send a short email to your tutor explaining the situation; I am sure the tutor will be sympathetic. Unfortunatly, these things happen regularly, and there are things your tutor can do to put the deadlines back so you don't have to worry about it.
Anyway, best wishes to you and your family.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Dreadful news Sue. Hope the hospital got to work on your dad quickly and he will stand the best chance of making a recovery. There's often a lot that can be done.... but it's early days yet.
As tomterm says, your tutors will surely be sympathetic and extend any deadlines for you.
Take care x0 -
Thanks guys....just back from the hospital after taking my brother up there and picking my mum up. Well the clot busters worked and very well indeed! The doctors are amazed at his progress and said his was the best response yet...they can't quite believe how well he has responded.
He is now moving his left arm and leg, there is no slurring of words anymore and he was pretty alert...well when we were talking politics and football anyway.
So much more positive, although mum is going to need a lot of support in the next few weeks. We made it!
