I have been extremely busy spring cleaning. The amount of junk we accumulate in this house has to be seen to be believed.
I am a martyr, I really am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
What is it with the junk ? It seems to multiply and grow from nothing.
I am 3 months away from moving and I seem to have accquired a 2nd house full of junk yet I never, ever buy anything.
I was sure that I don't clog my life up with pointless consumer goods yet we are bursting at the seams....and no way will it fit in our family home.
OK, we rented a derelict, characterful place unfurnished so went to an auction and flea market for furniture....which now won't match/fit in family home but all the other stuff ...it's crazy. How did I accquire 2 kitchens worth of kitchen things?
Books...every book I have read during the past 3 years is here...loads of the dam things and 90% too good to throw out.
Does anyone want some very nice shabby chic furniture?
The extra quilts and blankets I will have to bin as, charity shop don't want second hand bed linen and my house in London is no way as cold and damp as this place...one 13 tog was always plenty...here, it was 2 X 13 togs, a 40's feather duvet and a cotton crochet throw.
The damp is really getting me down now though and I can't wait to move..all my clothes in the shabby chic wardrobe smell of ''old''.0 -

Please dont ask.
I have been trying to avoid thinking about it.
All day
It;s the one thing I actually know how to do as my Grandad taught me. He used to go up the hill, shoot the rabbits and skin them. We used to pester him for a skin and he get fed up so showed us how to do it...and can I remember?. No......there was lot's of scraping and then hanging up for a time I think.0 -

1; a bed cover....patchwork style....mix of tawny, sandy and brown.
2; a handbag/holdall.
3; patchwork cover for dog bed?
Am I warm?0 -
OK I will guess..

On one purpose you are bang on the money!
I'd not thought of a holdall, but it would be cool. I think one might have trouble at customs though. Its not that I am pro fur, its that I'm anti waste.0 -

If the rabbit has to be killed then best use the skin for something useful.
The holdall would be tricky when you go places that don't know you and judge fur but you could dye it pink..then they'll think it's fake.
Lots of double standards around about fur...all that trim on the High St? It's cat from China and cruellest thing ever...but people don't seem to mind.0
