Welcome, James!
Which people do you mean?
theres lots who constantly berate others and ar just generally nasty but they seem to get loads of people thanking themReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -

My guess is the worst would be your gooseberry doesn't fruit as well this year. The raspberries I should imagine would move well at this time of year, but sooner rather than later??
I'd agree with this. We moved loads of things at the weekend, including trees, with a digger!Well, it was either that, or annihilation.
Self seeded gooseberry might be OK or it might be disappointing. Only one way to find out.0 -

Not on this thread, at least, I think you'll find - you'd have to search pretty hard to find a nasty post on here, let alone one which is thanked...
Obviously, you do get unpleasant posts elsewhere on the board - it's a public forum, and given the subject is house prices and the economy - things that matter A LOT to people, and that involve potentially hundreds ofthousands of pounds of people's money, tempers do get frayed sometimes, and arguments heated. Tip: try not to take it personally, and retreat here if you wish for some space from the fray, to discuss chickens/chocolates/etc etc - not terribly controversial.
It's actually sunny here now - anyone else enjoying a rare spot of April sunshine (though forecast to rain again, later)?0 -
can i ask why those people who are mean to other seem to get lots of thanks
sometimes, on this board its because of board chums...other times its because some of he heated posts are also containing good points of debate/ or argument. Sometimes its because they are too funny. I try not o thank the nasty ones, but one does slip occasionally. Often, while hovering over a thanks button wondering whether its thanks worthy or not, the button selects its self. that happens often while reading a post to: there is no unthank option, which is a shame.0 -

I'd agree with carol, and also lir, which is why I tend to spend most of my time here, its my default position these daysDon't tend to visit the Arms though - a bit too heated for my liking. I also wish there was an 'unthank' button - I tend to read really quickly and sometimes, after the event, I think twice about whether I really agree 100% with everything that was written.
I am also enjoying a rare break in the cloud - first chance to get the washing out on the line all week :j I hate having to use the tumble dryer - electric bill! and can't stand having washing draped around the house to dry - with 2 kids, one of whom seems to be turning asthmatic like me- its a less than ideal situation.
But I digress. Hope everyone has a good Easter, chooks, chocs and all:EasterBun
SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)0 -
