Because I know you folk like looking at houses, I thought I'd post this one, which has been on the market for some time:

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-13790409.html

You can tell it hasn't sold quickly, because on Google Street View it has (last year's) board outside! ;)

About six years ago, we viewed the next door property, Exebridge Nurseries. This was a bit of a wreck, but it came with an (alleged) 3 acres and a possible barn conversion. It looks as if the eventual purchasers havent done much yet. When we checked it over again, a few years back, it was full of bought-in plants, and I still couldn't find the 3 acres! :rotfl:

And why did both properties in such a lovely place take an age to shift? The clue lies in the proximity to the River Exe!

Looks like the B&B wasn't a great success either!

It's dropped its price by £20k today. It looks like a lovely house, but I wouldn't touch anything with a flood risk.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

That's right, which is why it popped into my in-box this a.m. I'm afraid my Rightmove alerts are still running! :o

    congratulations lydia :)

dave: fruit canes advise quickly please. I've got random raspberry and loganberry canes mixed up and sprouting all over the place. Is it possible to still dig them up and plant them in a bed I want them for? I know they shoot off randomly but the woman was old and they are now all over my newly designated pumpkin patch :D
Can I move a gooseberry bush the birds planted for me too? It's in a flower bed :(

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm obviously not Dave, but fwiw I'd try, taking as much soil/root ball from around the plant as I could and watering really well and giving it some muck (I give almost everything muck, but we have a lot about..) My guess is the worst would be your gooseberry doesn't fruit as well this year. The raspberries I should imagine would move well at this time of year, but sooner rather than later??

I hope so, as my OH moved all our fruit bushes, as they'd spread so much, and so were all squished, last autumn, I think. I hope they fruit this year - they did well last year.

Beautiful house, Davesnave. Makes me wish I lived in a cheaper area... but then again, not in a flood plain...
