Secrecy over facebook, is it me?

Hi,

I have a question for the women out there, if you and your partner were both on facebook, would you find it odd that you weren't one of his friends, having asked many times having been fobbed off? :(

I'd find that very strange. But then my boyf doesn't do facebook - just not interested. One of the few I imagine!

Yeah, it is strange. And, I'm sorry, but that kind of behaviour would make me believe that he was up to something he shouldn't be.

The only secrets my OH and I have from each other are anniversary, birthday and Christmas presents. I would find it extremely odd if he were to keep anything else hidden from me (and vice versa). But then again, as others have posted here, neither of us would touch facebook (and any other networking sites) with a 10 foot bargepole - I have to agree with lleck's sentiments!

Yes, I'd find it very suspicious. Me and OH aren't big facebookers and never use it to communicate with each other but if you can be 'friends' with people you went to school with over a decade ago and co-workers you actually hate, it seems a bit off to not include your partner.

Been there, but the other way round. My ex tried to add me to facebook towards the end of our relationship (which is when I joined facebook). I was getting ready to leave him - there was no way I wanted to announce to the world we were in a relationship! We had serious problems, most of which he wouldn't acknowledge and I think I actually hated him at that point.

Now I'm with my OH, we're both facebook friends and it says on our profiles that we're in a relationship with each other. We don't keep secrets from each other and we're certainly not ashamed to be associated with each other.

If your partner won't add you to facebook, there's probably something wrong, from my experience.

It does seem odd. My OH isn't on facebook but I am, and he has my password. He refuses to join, but logs on as me just to have a nose!!

    Heck YES!!

That would be setting off major alarm bells in my head and I would have to begin a little investigating......not going through his account or stuff, just perhaps creating a second account and sending a request so I could see his profile and friends list, that sort of thing.

If he has nothing to hide - he would add you. It's as simple as that - sorry
