Korean cars are really selling first!

The C'eed has always had a 7 year warranty, you could buy a basic Pre-Reg C'eed for £8995 until a couple of months ago, so effectively new.
I know it has but if you buy a second hand Kia Approved Used car they give you a fresh 7 year warranty with it so an 18 month old car has a 7 year warranty, not 5.5 years.
Plus it's the LS spec I was looking at which seems to have a hell of a lot in it, not just a base model. (I don't know anything about the range though, I've just flicked through the Approved Used cars close to me - my dad's looking to replace his current car)0 -
just like Skoda they've suffered from a bad image (and Top Gear's just criticisms),

My sister has the i20 and it's quite impressive. Good equipment, economical on petrol. My only doubt would be will it be here in 10 years time, but the 5 year warranty would tend to make you think it would.0 -
I'm surprised that on a moneysaving site there were so many people signing up for the scrappage scheme. No matter how "cheap" the new car, lashing out thousands on a depreciating, potentially rusting/maintenance hungry piece of kit is no way to "save".
While I understand that some people have no real interest in cars or driving, a second hand example of a great car is of much better long-term value than a new, badly designed, plasticky shopping-trolley that is churned out of the new-comers in the east.
7 is definitely better than 3 in a warranty, but it just sounds like doubling the misery in keeping an outdated, ugly, low-performance box just for the sake of being able to say, "at least its reliable!"0 -

Wow, so much wrong in so few paragraphs.
MSE is about saving money, not necessarily about not spending it. ie, if someone can get £2000 or £3000 of a car that suits their needs then thats better than paying near retail price for it, is it not?
Hyundais ARE great cars now. They're well up there with their european counterparts. If i was running a budget car for say, 10 years, i'd rather have a new Hyundai i30 with a 7 year warranty than a year old Focus with the balance of a three year warranty.
Also, the new Hyundais ARENT outdated - overall its probably a much younger range than their european rivals.0 -
Agreed. Colino is talking out of his *rse.0

So far I've only seen one '10' reg car, an i20.
That proves that 100% of new cars are Hyundais.0 -

Agreed, however you will need to buy the almost identical Kia C'eed to get a 7 year warranty, Hyundai give 5 year warranties.;)
Arguably the Hyundai i30 and Kia C'eed are " European ". they are made in Europe.0 -

No - that proves you got an "F" in maths/stats :rotfl:
Your eyes only see what you want to seeHappiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
