I wish, I am looking to get one of the new Hyundia Coupe's when it comes to the UK at the end of this year. They are £15,300 in the US atm so lets see what we have to pay over here (I am expecting around £22/23,000)Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
It would help if Hyundai could keep up with demand!
4mths on i'm still waiting for my i10 and keep getting fobbed off, supposedly it was on a boat at the end of Feb but now we cant get any info out of them!
Anyone got a number for Hyundai MD?0 -
Glad that people finally learnt to be practical rather than badge snobs. :T
The upsurge in popularity has been caused by the scrappage scheme. Hardly badge snobs if they have been driving round in 10yr+ cars.
They have been popular because of the entry level prices. I doubt if you had £50,000 to spend on a car you would pick a Kia picanto just because it had 7 year warranty.

They've both benefitted enormously from the scrappage scheme as they are dirt cheap and most people with scrappers are just gonna be happy driving anything new. In general you get what you pay for though, will be interesting to see how many of these cars are still gonna be on the road in ten years time.
Keep an eye on them....just like Skoda they've suffered from a bad image (and Top Gear's just criticisms), however the latest batch of Kia's seem much improved and you can get a really good deal for a decent motor......if they do hold their value you're onto a winner. The European factory is top notch and with a 7yr warranty they must be confident.
I bought a Skoda Fab vRS just over 3 yrs ago for £10,995 online...can still expect to get over £7000 for it now....and that was a gamble because i never thought i'd ever drive a Skoda.
If i can find a good deal on a Kia i might look at it....both those and Hyundai are becoming very popular in the US...they're earning a lot of money to invest back in.0 -
Have to say I parked next to a 2 year old Kia today and it looked a lot older than that! It did have its "I have a 5 year warranty" ticket on the back window but the paintwork looked very poor.
But a good car for those who want a budget priced new car with a good warranty.0 -

I found this as well - I really wanted the Metallic blue i10 unfortunately the Dealer is having bother getting the i10 in blue and there were 7 of us after a blue one!! When I ordered I was asked to pick a 2nd colour "Just incase" There is seemingly, according to them, huge demand for the blue colour but Hyundai are just not producing enough of that colour to meet demand.
I got a phone call 2 weeks ago to tell me the dealer was getting no blue i10's in at all before the end of April at the earliest. I was then asked if I would accept my 2nd colour (Silver) and when I said yes I was told there was 1 arriving the following day and that my name was now on it and given my registration number there and then!
In hindsight I am glad I have opted for the Silver as I have seen so many blue and red ones on the road and no silver ones!
Got it Wednesday and loving it to drive!0 -

Poor owner.:(
My neighbour has a 55 plate Kia Picanto and it looks like brand new.
Never had a spot of trouble with it.0 -
I didn't know that the Approved Used cars had a full 7 year warranty with them!
Can buy a decent spec Ceed on a 58 plate with low miles (1.6 petrol) for £9,000 !0 -

The C'eed has always had a 7 year warranty, you could buy a basic Pre-Reg C'eed for £8995 until a couple of months ago, so effectively new.0
