Korean cars are really selling first!
As per Society of Motor manufactuers February 2010 update, Kia and Hyundai are fastest growing car markers.

Glad that people finally learnt to be practical rather than badge snobs. :T

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

They've both benefitted enormously from the scrappage scheme as they are dirt cheap and most people with scrappers are just gonna be happy driving anything new. In general you get what you pay for though, will be interesting to see how many of these cars are still gonna be on the road in ten years time.0

The new Ceed is a very well designed car with a quality feel - if I was in the "brand spanking new" market I'd seriously be considering one of those!0

And good luck to Hyundai and Kia. I drive an 11 year old Accent which is fantastic. Its just a shame its taken this long to convince people that the Koreans can make decent cars. Seems to me they offer near Japanese quality at Chinese prices - best of both worlds.0

I looked at a Rio yesterday but was disappointed at the plasticky and cheap looking interior. It seemed good value, though.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Some years ago I reckoned that the best deal that could be obtained on a new car was to go for one from a manufacturer that was trying to enter the British market. I had a Seat Toledo tdi which I was quite impressed with. I dropped that for an Octavia when Skoda came under the VAG umbrella and since then I have had 2 Fabias. I reckon that Skoda have now peaked on the value for money front and quality is dropping (condensation and creaking suspension probs). I like what I've been hearing about Kia (especially the 7 year warranty) but dealerships are a bit thin on the ground and aren't they a bit iffy on the servicing front even though as I understand it, you can now legally have a vehicle serviced by any bona fide garage without it affecting the warranty ?0

I'm expecting delivery of my new Kia Cee'd in a week or so. I was certainly convinced when test driving it. Was originally going to get the new Polo.0
