Happy Birthday DFSD!
What a nice hubby to bring you breakfast in bed. I'm pleased you had a nice morning and hope the day continues to go well.
I'm in a fab mood today, and I couldn't attribute it to anything, but now I know why! Definitely have that Friday feeling today. It has been a nice week and very productive. I have a good weekend planned too with some meals out (all in the name of MSing), seeing friends and should still have plenty of chill out time at home.
Have a great weekend everyone!Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

happy Birhday DFSD - hope you are having a great time
Re Freecycle..you don't need a Yahoo account. if you go to your local group they should have a subscribe link - just complete that and it should all work out. It can take a couple of hours to come though but its not bad. The only problem then is that your mailbox will be flooded if you belong to a big group..we automatically direct our Freecycle mails to a particular mailbox and also get the summaries only.

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone X Unfortunately the weekend didn't go great and resulted in food poisoning from a birthday meal (me & hubby) and the car's still not fixed!
I've got to take the day off tomorrow to take it back into the garage.
Glad you've been feeling much cheerier Chocs, hope the weekend was nice and productive whilst still being relaxing!
Thanks for the heads-up on Freecycle Brizzle, I shall check that out. Sure I'm doing something wrong with it.
Well the food poisoning and the lack of car meant we had a cheap weekend!
Our 'grocery budget in a tin' is still going strong and I'm finding it really easy to see how much we have left by doing it this way. I think it may become a regular occurrence. We also have £80 leftover for everything else which hasn't already been covered so that's also more than ample.
Happy Monday everyone x0 -
Both of you with food poisoning, eek, that's not nice. I hope you are starting to feel better.
I think I used up my quota of energy for a few days on Friday, so had a lazyish weekend. I am so looking forward to Easter. I'm not doing anything exciting, but will be pleased to have a long weekend off. Have you any plans?Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Hi DFSD
Happy Easter! I hope you and your family are OK.
I finally succumbed to the stomach bug going around work this week. I am getting over it now, but my plans to redecorate the bathroom this bank holiday don't seem so appealing now! I'm hoping to be well enough to go and see some friends tomorrow even if we just chill out and watch some DVDs and then maybe venture further afield if that goes well.
Best wishes xMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Hi all
Sorry for going AWOL for a few days, it's been rather a hectic week in DFSD land. We were away for a couple of days last week, then we have had things on or people round, every day since so I am shattered and the bank balance is not as good as I'd like it to be (it's not terrible, just a few ££'s less in there than I'd like it to be at this stage of the month).
No real DFW updates to report really. I had to spend some money on an outfit to wear to a funeral as I didn't have anything suitable that fitted me.Also picked up a lovely coat in the sale for £20 - my old one was 6 years old and finally was deemed non-repairable.
We still have money left in the grocery and petrol budget. About £50 for petrol and £40 for groceries. We may struggle on the petrol budget, but groceries should be fine as we're fully stocked again. My wonderful parents came up at the weekend again, and bought with them some groceries and goodies. They also paid for a new light fitting we had to replace (as the other was apparently dangerous ) and my Dad has measured up to make us some more shelving. :A
The car is fixed, at a cost of £105 , and we don't have anything major to pay for (that I'm aware of) before payday. I should be getting a few £'s more in April's wages for 2 hours overtime at time and a half. It's not much, but better than nothing!
For now, I'm thankful it's a short week. Must get on with some work though, will update more later.
DFSD
