The HIP grant form has been signed by the midwife this afternoon and is already in the post. ;) I've also received all the loan bumpf which I'll sign and return tomorrow.

We had to get some grocery shopping tonight, so I will have to deduct it out of next month's grocery budget and this month's has run out! :o We spent £32 and stocked up on some basics and fresh fruit & veg. Also, a £5 bottle of wine to take over to a friend's tomorrow night as they are cooking for us.

It's really cold again tonight, but we're refusing to put the heating on just yet! I have one of hubby's big sweaters on and have pulled all the blind and curtains to keep the rooms warm. (not sure if that's an old wives' tale or not?!). Last night we were both sat under a blanket on the sofa! We're lucky that this is a warm house, but still it's not very warm in here tonight!

I just need to get some homemade soup out of the freezer tonight for lunches tomorrow and then I think a night snuggled on the sofa is called for, or even a hot bath. I don't feel like doing much tonight.

  • My HIP grant was paid into my bank account exactly one week after i posted off the form, even though i didnt get the letter saying it would be paid in for another week or two. So keep checking online banking and you may get a nice suprise :D Its really cold here too, unfortunately with two wee ones i have no choice but to put the heat on!

  • Thanks WABL, I'll keep a check on the bank account - I like those kind of surprises!
  • This morning I seem to have been paid an odd amount by one of the MS companies - I am expecting near £30 in total from them, but have been paid £8.86? No idea why, but I have emailed them to enquire about it.
