You are so industrious DFSD. I take it you aren't too tired yet!
Well done on the Burt's Bees gifts. I had a look after I saw your post but a lot of the stuff is sold out now. I have a gift pack spare in any case after a bought one for my mum's birthday and then forgot to give it to her
My bank balance is not looking good after paying off my credit card and all the usual direct debits going out. I have kept my spending down, though, and I am trying to minimise the damage! I thought today could be expensive as a friend having a rough time wanted a chat over lunch so we went out to a cafe. However, it ended up being free as the staff couldn't get the tills to work when we left.
Gosh, this week has gone so fast and it is time for another to do list for the weekend. I'm still chipping away at the tasks around the flat and I am starting to see a difference which is pleasing. I have 4 MSs which are all good ones and can be done anytime over the weekend. I think it is supposed to be warm and dry on Saturday so hopefully I'll go somewhere nice and enjoy the autumn sunshine.
Best wishes xMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

No, not feeling overly tired yet Chocs - I've been really lucky so far, just hope it continues!
Great news on the free lunch, how lovely! I bet it tasted even better after knowing it was free!0 -
Today I have ordered a few more bargains for Christmas presents - one order of £20 on the credit card I'm afraid as the bank balance is so poor, the rest paid for, or partially paid for, by my paypal balance. I think I've managed to get another 7 presents which is great. This doesn't sound very festive, but I want to get the Christmas shopping finished asap so we know our money is ours and can pay a larger amount off the credit card over the next couple of months.
My ebay sales are not good again - one BIN with no watchers, one auction with 4 watchers and no bids yet.Very disappointing.
We have no real plans for this weekend, except to spend as little money as possible!

Wow, you have amassed quite a few presents this week. It's definitely Xmas shopping time now; I even heard my first Xmas carols of the year yesterday.
I am hoping this will signal the start of an upturn on Ebay as I agree with you that it is very slow at the moment. I see there is another free listing weekend, but that will only encourage me to wait another week! Let's hope our items sell this weekend.
I have been having trouble with my shoulders getting sore. I thought the exercise would help because my muscle tone is poor, but if anything it is aggrevating it. I have decided to get some treatment so that's a bit more money I need to find, but definitely in a good cause. It isn't really bad or anything, but has been going on for ages and it is about time I put some effort into sorting it out.
I will be with you on the low spend weekend. I drew some money out today but must make it last a week!Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Sorry to hear you're having pain in your shoulders Chocs, I hope the treatment gets it sorted for you. That's definitely money well spent too, so I wouldn't worry too much about the cost of it, your health is the most important thing.
Christmas carols already?! Wow, that is early!0 -
Today I have picked up the two Christmas gift orders from Boots, including the glitch bargain. They sets I bought were really small and definitely not worth £10 each, but I'm quite happy with £10 for all 3.
They will be lovely to supplement other gifts.
This morning we also did a supermarket MS, earning us £10 + £1 reimbursement. We have one more MS to do tomorrow evening and then I will have to look at booking some more as that's the last I had lined up.
As it's a lovely day, two loads of washing are drying nicely on the line.I've also done some more baking and made a few more muffins as treats to take round to a friend's house tomorrow. There'll be lots left for lunchboxes too (if they last that long!).
My darling parents have phoned us to say they were out shopping this morning and came across a great deal on carpet for the new room we're having built - so they kindly bought more than enough for us. There will be lots of it left due to the roll size, so they're going to use it to re-carpet my aunt's little hallway and bathroom too. She has had a tough few years and they are always looking out for her and helping her out. My Dad is able to lay all of the carpet too when it's ready to be done, which will save us even more money. I am so blessed to have such wonderful parents, it often leaves me really emotional just thinking about all the things they do for other people; they never think of themselves.
This afternoon I was planning on wrapping some of the Christmas gifts so I can put them away somewhere, but I can't seem to find the energy to do it! I also need to make a lasgane for dinner tonight, but again, am struggling to do so at the moment. I guess I should really log off and get on with the jobs that need doing...

Not such a good start to the day today, my Mum is not well again. I am just hoping and praying it doesn't turn into serious pain and discomfort for her again. She is supposed to be coming up to stay for a few days on Wednesday and is so looking forward to it, as am I, but if she's poorly then it's not going to happen. She'll be so upset and disappointed. Needless to say, I am not feeling very bright today, jut waiting on news and willing lots of good health wishes her way at the moment.0

Best wishes to you and your mum xx Is she back in hospital or at home hoping it will settle down?Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Thanks Chocs. She is at home, but had to take her prescribed morphine this morning as the pain was bad. She hates taking the stuff so we know it's bad when she takes that voluntarily.
How are your shoulders today? Any better?

I really hope the pain settles down for your mum x.
I am embarrassed to mention my shoulders in comparison. It's a long standing problem, I think, from when I used to play violin and oboe for 25+ hours a week. It's not bad, but it is a nagging pain which never seems to properly go. I thought the exercise might help since I have a very sedate lifestyle these days and my muscle tone is poor. But it hasn't and when I was at the spa, I had a couple of treatments on it and they said it would take rather more effort to sort it. I am in one of those moods where I am trying to sort things and phoning someone else to try and sort my shoulders out is infinitely easier than sorting out my flat!
5 watchers but no bidders on my Ebay item which finishes tonight, so fingers crossed and for your things too ....
I've done a couple of MSs today. I have 10 booked for my afternoon off this week :rotfl:. I think it will be OK as 4 are a scenario I have done before, is very easy and has a short questionnaire. One is coffee and cake which will be much needed mid-afternoon! The other 5 are a scenario which is new to me but looks OK on a quick glance. When I started, I was aiming for 3 MSs a week. Now 7 -10 is more usual though I don't normally try to do them all in one day!Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000
