I find it amazing that anyone would seriously consider emigrating to another country based on tv shows it displays a level of immaturity which makes
me think you probably wouldn't even get into the clubs you are interested in.
In conclusion I wouldn't go to either of these places after watching Ross kemp on gangs.

I can get into any club in London no problem. Its not what you know its who you know.

I think any credibility that you may have had at the start of this thread has been quickly eroded by your apparent obsession with US nightclubs and bars.

Have you found out yet whether you are eligible to emigrate to the States?

But, but, but - think of all the bars and clubs you'll be missing!

Don't you go worrying your pretty little head about nuclear stuff, just wear a tin-foil hat and you'll be fine! ;)

Its not a matter of not being fair.

It much more about being cruel to be kind. How any right minded person could ask a question about moving to a foreign country based on watching the telebox and never having actually stepped foot in the country is beyond rational thinking.

Would the op prefer to go to the emigration meeting and be asked

"so why do you want to move to the U.S"
    to which he would rebuff
"well it look nice on the telly"

he would be laughed out of the building.

He's obssesion with bars and clubs in such areas also isnt what your average person would be concnerned about when moving abroad surely questions about accomodation, finding jobs, local services, cost of living etc are a far more mature way of looking at the move.

Ok so here is my actual input.

Anyone who thinks about moving to a country which they have never been to and whos sole opinion of the place is based on TV and what friends say need to sit in a dark room and have a serious word with themselves.

Actually ignore me I would suggest the OP employes a emigration specialist and let them go through the process with them.

nope i havent lived out there but ive seen it on tv so that makes me qualified, the difference between your sister and the OP is she has a reason to be there, ie uni, the OP wants to go and live out there having

    never been there
not sure if he wants to live there or florida
no mention of any skills or uni

i lived in oz for a bit when i was a young'un and but before I went i was sure i had a work visa, somewhere to stay, enough money to keep me going, a bank account to keep my money in etc things like clubs sporting events etc come much later in the decision making process.

However if you say your sister has moved to a different country without worrying about money or accomodation i will take your word for it

And as i previously said if he really wants to go for it then employ an emigration expert who im sure will be able to help

maybe its just a dream he has. Have you lived in LA? My sister and a friend has just went out to live. They both are going to uni out there and what where they most bothered about the nightlife and things to do not the cost of living or local services

So how do they survive? Nightlife and things to do do not pay the bills!

Thats the wonder of youth Ms G, not that either of us are old, they act now and think later, as my old mum would say "act in haste and repent at leisure" mind you she also says "your driving to fast" when im only doing 30mph and "your music is too loud" when i havent got my stereo on so shes probably not the best person to take advice from.

had a thought about this situ, im currently looking at new cars and i wouldnt go and buy one because id seen it on top gear and my mates say its good I would acually go and test drive it and before i signed on the dotted line i would ensure I could afford the thing and consider other costs, ie insurance, servicing, mpg, but maybe its just me and maybe im getting old, werther's original anyone???

I was thinking the same thing, but also the converse - now it is me moaning that her music is too loud! :p

Both set of parents are supporting them

If the OP's parents were going to support him, he would not be here asking about work! The situation with your sister and her friend is entirely different ... unless you are suggesting that the OP should relocate with no financial support in place, and no means of securing an income whilst he is there?
