Bahaahaaa Molly was practising Peekaboo with the blanket and chatting to her hands when we collected her from bed. She is now in her door bouncer and has managed to make her way to the shelves beside the door where she is chewing them with all her might.

AND I'VE JUST SEEN HOW SHE GOT THERE. She leaned, grabbed the support bar of the shelves, and then used the grip on the bar as balance while she walked over there. This is a scary week for us... perhaps we should start "walking child" proofing.

ETA: Sorry, I don't mean to be "that mum", it's just all so exciting for me. Sorry.

:T Clever Molly! And I don't think you need to apologise :)

can I have healthy baby vibes, please? Poor little boy was up half the night coughing and he's still at it this morning - I obviously gave him what DH gave me! The tickly cough syrup stuff hasn't helped one bit. He's actually in pretty good spirits, though, bless him!

Our Easter plans are now a bit up in the air. Were planning on going to the ILs but now some wire or something has come loose on the clutch of DH's car and the garage "thinks" they might possibly be able to squeeze it in today (or maybe not).

Bruno, hugs for your DW. Not sure if it helps, but Finn & I would be happy to meet up for a coffee provided it's somewhere not too awkward to get to! We could swap reminiscing stories about life in America :p

  • Morning all,

It's gone all quiet here, Benjamin has gone under the table to do a poo. He is doing this more and more often now (going somewhere quiet to poo) like he is embarrassed :)

Bruno - hugs hun. I can see how I might end up the same if I was a SAHM. Maybe it isn't the 3 days in a row, it is the worry that she has to have these days ad infinitum?? I freely admit that I am better off going to work for both mine and Benjamin's sanity. But as a mother I am not 'supposed' to say this - I am supposed to say that I go to work because I need the money...

Now Benjamin has the nappy bags out - do you think he is trying to tell me something? :rotfl::rotfl:

SS - to be 'that' mummy you need to say 'my baby can do x, can yours?'

    Yay for clever Molly!!

  • Morning all. Hope all parents and babies are well today.

Hot cross buns and tea - thats been my breakfast for days now! I'm sure some choccy will sneak in tomorrow morning too! :D

Lots of hugs, Always. So sorry for your loss.

    SS, clever Molly! :T

Oh, what you said about caravans the other day. I've never stayed in one before but its only for 4 days so I'm hoping I'll cope :o. Its a static 8 person size and my sisters have booked a separate one too so I can have snippits of respite :D.

After last year's holiday in Spain, we have decided that UK is the way to go for the next few years at least. It was far too stressful even with DH, Mum, Dad and 2 sisters and that was with only one walking child! :rotfl:.

Bruno, I'm pretty sure that I would not be able to cope if I didn't have help from my Mum/nursery and stayed in most of the day. I know you previously said you were waiting until E was 2 before you considered nursery but I really do feel it would benefit both him and DW for a morning or afternoon once or twice a week. Plus there are other activities such as 'Jo Jingles' where they can both attend, and as its all singing and dancing DW doesn't have to make conversation with the other Mums if she doesn't want to iyswim? Enjoy your day. Sounds good fun! :)

    xx

And I forgot to say well done for clever Molly this week!

I've heard that hitting big developments can interrupt their sleep...maybe this is why she's been resisting sleep these past few days?

Also, does anyone know if there's a door width recommendation/minimum for those bouncers? I'm sure our doors are standard size but they just look so narrow like he'd bounce into them and bash his head too easily.

YAY we had a good night last night, Elliot fed at 9pm then went to bed (we all did lol) he didnt wake again till 12.40am for another feed, and then again at 3.40am (although it did take us till 4.40 to get him back to sleep, he appeared to want awake time lol) then again at 8.45am YAY for a decent sleep

And this morning at 8.45 when I fed him he took a whole 3oz off me YAY lol

I am going to attempt to head back and catch up but may not be able to post till this afternoon as my mam and aunties are coming at half 11 to see Elliot (actually I've lived here a year now and it will be one of my aunties first trips!)
